seems that bubba the redneck missed the point.

the point was not whether or not uneducated rednecks who cling to their guns feel insulted by being called uneducated rednecks.

the point was not whether uneducated rednecks can shoot a rifle in our contemporary times of professional armies and jet fighters and cruise missiles that render your redneck brothers about as relevant as nipples on batman's batsuit.

the point was not how in the times of yore, your rednecks fought a world war. or a civil war.

the point being made WAS how bubba the redneck will be enslaved with the rest of the "panziez" that hate guns when the government comes knocking. the point WAS that bubba the redneck with his hunting rifle that he shoots squirrels sometimes has as much chance of defending his freedom then as anyone else.

even in that insanely improbable scenario, it is still retarded to stockpile weapons just in case. meanwhile, american citizens are able to buy sniper rifles and miniguns for home defence.

btw, do you have any proof that your rednecks replaced trained army instructors and thought american conscripts how to shoot? that no WWI vets or military academy instructors were available? not that it has any relevance to the discussion, just curious to see just if you're floating or not (because of the hot air, in case you missed this too)

Pointing is the easy part, just like your rebuttal.
i bet those rednecks wished they hadnt trained their northern comrades how to fire a gun the weeks before the civil war kicked off..........they would be able to send their slave to pick a big mac rather than get off their fat, gun totting arses, wobble to the car and get it themselves.

Your hatred is also very apparent.

so rather than tackle all his salient points and logic. you thought it more pertinent to tackle the sub plot of anti-southern-americanism you suspect you may have detected? now youve finished pointing out you dont like the peripheral anti-american undertones why dont you tackle the meat of his post?

I tackled it on the first page. I am pro-gun. You are not. Nothing left to discuss. I just got tired of all of the anti- American mud being slung. That's it , nothing more to say.

"The gun did not kill those children. A very deranged individual did. It could have been done with any number of weapons. There is a deeper issue here other than guns, I would dare say that it is a spiritual matter. Would you agree?"

i think we would all agree that he was a deranged individual. that much is obvious. blaming the gun is stupid, as a gun without intent is as dangerous as a meat knife in a block. but a deranged individual and a gun is a crazy combination. sadly we cannot ban, being deranged, we can however control who has guns.

banning guns over-night is a bad idea. but a slow phasing out of guns over 20 or 30 years is a good idea, it the phasing was matched with gun crime, so criminals dont have a perceived advantage.

ive been surprised reading american comments since the incidents just how much guns are ingrained into your psyche. i always thought it was a myth perpetuated by hollywood. but you should remember not so long ago, everybody in europe had swords and axes and maces, it was part of every day culture. at some point over a few thousand years we decided chopping each other to bits was stupid. the answer was not to get more knights, more man-at-arms, more militia, but less.

in europe we still have the occasional crazy guy with guns, but its very rare. why you wouldnt want to be more like us baffles me.

It is very rare here too. Our news media just do more reporting on these things than do the Europeans and elsewhere. It is called freedom of the press. 😏

Rare you say? Check this out. No sense in responding though because I know you will just blow these facts off too.

Answers.com: At least 31940 people died from gun injuries in 2011 in the USA. If I did my math right, that is 638 for each state per year. Is this acceptable numbers?

So I ask: How many of these deaths would still have happened if guns were not involved?

Did I say it was new? Don't think I did. And I have the correct links and you know it.
So Ron are these numbers ok with you? Are they acceptable?

Thanks. I may have missed it if RJH has offered some positive suggestions and has shown sympathy for all the killings that have been done by guns. I hope he has and I hoped I just didn't see them. But I haven't as of yet. If he has maybe he could show me those postings because as of now all I recall is him defending guns?

I kind of saw that same attitude by Mr NRA today on the news. He did exclaim it was bad but then gave really nothing as a solution other then for him to blame the differnt issues on everyone else. True it has to be a multi prong attack but if the GUNS were not in the picture I think it would be so much easier to stop most killings.
