You don't know what you are talking about. You aren't even an American and sit and judge like you know first hand. I dismiss most of your comments as nonsense.

America is not perfect, but it is the last holdout in the world for freedom.
you have a bi party political system and those two parties are mostly the same so you might as well close your eyes and choose randomly, you don't vote, you choose your president with that idiotic system, you have the patriot act, you have guantanamo. you have freakin TSA.
in what freakin way are you better than the top european countries? or canada? or japan?

PS I do not own a gun but I agree with this
that situation will not arrive suddenly. a society needs to take measures to prevent that from happening, and those measures do not involve guns.

What happens if the good people get rid of all their guns?
It will be like shooting ducks in a pond for the bad people. Hooray! for the numbnuts.

Originally posted by RJHindshey, numbnut, if you are so apathetic as to be caught with your pants down when your government enslaves you (a scenario that is highly unlikely), having a gun will simply mean you get to be the first to be shot. every resistance movement in history was not made out of men who branded their weapons at the first sign of trouble , but of those that were smart enough to lay low and pass of as loyal citizens to the new regime, and then find ways in which to resist the oppressors.

shooting ducks in a pond? why on earth would your hypothetical tyrannic regime shoot unresisting unarmed people? they will ignore those and go for the gun happy idiots. hopefully, after they are done killing them, the smart people will be left alone and be able to do some resisting.

Show us an evil government (in a democracy) that enslaves its citizens because they dont have guns
AND
Show us an evil government (in a democracy) that tries to enslave
its citizens but fails because they have guns
There MUST be loads?

I have a question... As the NRA head guy is preaching even on an interview I just watched last night, that we need more guns in peoples hands to stop these "bad guys" dead in their tracks and that would almost eliminate or discourage all these fools that want to kill inocent people.
So my question is how many more guns in these "good guys" hands do we need?
I've seen that there are over 300 million guns already in this country and no doubt most of these do belong to respondsable people who would never do any harm to anyone.
And that leaves these fools who would just as soon kill you as to look at you in the minority?
So it would seem they are already out numbered by a good amount of the "good guys" and if his idea that they good guys should dertour this crazyness, why isn't it already working?
Between all the police departments, the military, the FBI, all the good guys, etc, etc, the bad guys are already way out numbered, right?
So why is this so called detourant not working already?
Do we need more guns out there to stop this? Really?
