Gay and lesbian couples ARE having children; so since they're not out to "exterminate" the human race can we dump the Old Testament mumbo jumbo condemning them?
It's in the New Testament, too.

Tell me, are you aware that AIDS is more epidemic among homosexuals than heterosexuals? Are you aware that only 5% of homsexual relationships are long term? Are you aware that damage to their anus poses long term health problems?

So should God have said "Homosexuality is wrong until science can give them babies." ?

Yes. Though He didn't make them gay.

Noah had sex with Eve? This is new to me. OK, kidding aside, you and I look at this a little differently. The reality is the human race has survived. It has managed quite well with homosexuals throughout history. If anything, we need to be glad for their contributions to many aspects of our culture ranging from literature to music and , dare I say, ...[text shortened]... verpopulating the earth. There is a big difference between our views of their roles in society.
I don't hate homosexuals. I hate the sin. Let us not pretend homosexuality is natural. In fact, it is CONTRARY to evolution.

Jesus said nothing about homosexuality.

Aids is more rampant among minorities then it is with gays. I know gay people in relationships well into their 30 year anniveraries. Can you show me what the percentage is among the heterosexual Christian populace for long term marraige?

If God did'nt create gay people, why are they here? Are you a believer in biblical creation or evolution? Please take a stand and not just use them at your convience. Biology show us that homosexuality exists in lifeforms on this planet.

Christianity does not teach hate. Jesus spoke of tolerance darfius, please try to understand this. There is no need to hate anyone. There is no need to judge or condemn. Christianity itself teaches against these practices. I do not hate you. I disagree with you obviously, but I do not condemn you because you believe differently then me.

Didn't I say I didn't hate homosexuals? Didn't I say my best friend is homosexual? I am tolerant. However, you seem to confuse tolerance with silence. I won't be silent, however, I will not force people to stop what they do.

Can you give me an example of Jesus being tolerant of people who were going to continue sinning on purpose and didn't plan to repent? He told the adulteress to "go and sin no more."

Jesus didn't talk about beastiality either, but are you defending it?

It's only more rampant among minorities because there are more. Percentage wise, homosexuals are definitely in the lead. Among heterosexual Christians; or labeled Christian? I would assume among born-agains it would be at least 80%.

Homosexuality among animals is not a genetic result. It is the result of a lack of the opposite sex or a display of dominance. It is most assuredly not the result of "love."

And the thing is, I need not avidly defend evolution or creation, as it isn't a salvation issue.

And either way, I will say God did not create homosexuals.

As I recall just before he says that he says, "neither do I condemn you." Now he said this not knowing what she would do after this encounter. She might have entered a nunnery or she may have moved her brothel to the other side of town. We don't know. But Jesus was only responsible for his attitude at that moment. In other words his "neither do I condemn you" attitude was not contingent on her future.

Begging your pardon lad, but isn't this statment a bit of a hypocrisy? You yourself say here that you have a continuing friendship with a homosexual, but you quote Christ who was very much against having long term relations with those who sin and do not repent.

I tell you truly brother, no sin is any greater than another to the eye of the Lord. Sin is sin, period. There is no little sin, nor any great sin. It is simply sin. Whether I have sex with my neighbors wife and cheat him out of his home or I simply tell him an irrelevant white lie, I am a sinner. The greatest saint who ever lived is no less of a sinner than Ted Bundy.

Read the WHOLE passage; how about John 8: 15:

15 Ye judge after the flesh; I judge no man.

That's Jesus speaking; where do you and RBHILL get off "condemning" people to Hell when Jesus himself says "I judge no man"?

If you read the whole thread, you would see that my best friend turned away from homosexuality when he became a Christian, as is proper and right.

So where exactly is my hypocrisy?

I do not condemn people to hell. I condemn their actions as I am told to do.
