To tell the truth, I get sick and tired of people only coming to the bible with the queation "What can I get away with?"
And that seems to be what this discussion is, just another "How much can I do with the Bible ?" question.
I think there is a whole another way to approach this grand book besides "Let me see HOW MUCH I can get away with."

I am sure there can be a more spiritual reading of these verses, but it is not necessarily the most restrictive reading of scripture that is best.
