Any intrusion into the morality of sex is religious control pure and simple just like the religious suppression of women. ( A man is worth 50 shekels, a woman 35).

Where is this 50 shekels verses 35 shekels matter you're all bent out of shape about ?

Female equality is assumed in MANY crucial places in the Old Testament :

...[text shortened]... lectively outraged and seems incapable of considering the bigger picture.
can you shed any of your biblical light down here in the oral sex gutter and give us some clarity on the churches view of what goes on between a married couple?

what a Muppet, either you apply the Biblical principles or you do not, how many
religious persons have forced there way into your home and demanded that you apply
those principles? Ill bet none, incensed??? you should see a psychiatrist.
I get incensed at the IDEA of people thinking they can spread their moral morass upon other people based on man made gods. It rankles me that people cannot just come out and say, we humans don't want you doing anal sex. Ok that is one form of control, like saying I am the biggest thug in the valley, which may or may not be true. But you and your ilk provide a seemingly unassailable argument, hey, it's not ME making this judgement, its GOD. If it were just thugs, we would find a way but you go, no no, it's not me, it's GOD, there is no way to even defend against that kind of moralistic attack.

I have no contribution to that topic. Go over to CARM - Christian Apologetics and Research Ministry. I think I recall an article on that subject.

To tell the truth, I get sick and tired of people only coming to the bible with the queation "What can I get away with?"

And that seems to be what this discussion is, just another "How much can I do with the Bible ?" question.

I think there is a whole another way to approach this grand book besides "Let me see HOW MUCH I can get away with."

But Christian opinions do vary, and always suspecting an attitude of getting away with things is not necessarily justified. Sincere Christians wanting to enter into a loving marriage may have similar questions.

http://www.christian-marriage-today.com/is-oral-sex-a-sin.html

quote:

Get your Bible and turn to the Song of Songs (Song of Solomon) 2:3 and 4:16 there you will find poetic descriptions of oral sex between Solomon and his wife.

Song of Solomon 2:3

"Among the young men my lover is like an apple tree in the woods!I enjoy sitting in his shadow; his fruit is sweet to my taste.

Note: the word fruit in the above scripture is likely symbolic for the male genitals.

Song of Solomon 4:16

"Awake north wind. Come south wind. Blow on my garden and let its sweet smells flow out. Let my lover enter the garden and eat its best fruits."

Note: The word garden here is likely referring to the female genitals as well as the word fruits.

unquote

I am sure there can be a more spiritual reading of these verses, but it is not necessarily the most restrictive reading of scripture that is best.

Is hemorrhoid cream what you use as lubrication while you do your dastardly deed?

Your quote only substantiates an assertion that sexual acts that are "extra-marital" are immoral. Oral sex is perfectly normal sexual behaviour and your quote says nothing to rebutt this.
I think it depends on how far one goes with oral sex. Those acts that are disgusting and nasty are outside of normal oral sex, like kissing on the lips.

to me the conversation isnt really about sex, its about people following rules regardless of the meaning. there seems to be a rule about oral sex but so far nobody seems to have a clue why. i dont think the atheists ar arguing to see what we can get away with, because we do what ever we and our partners want to do already. i think its perfectly reasonable and important to explore why god demands you do not do something that seems harmless, the fact that it is sex related is a side issue.

vaginal sex is way more unclean than oral sex so that debunks that argument.
