Why humans want to believe in God? or super beings?? it's because they hope to have a forever existence after death??? or just they hope for another chance to repent themselves for the wrong things having committed in this life??????
How about because God is true, no matter what we get out of it?

If you want someone to have faith, you can't give them proof.
In what way was Mary violated?

Would you like to answer my questions which I have put to you?
Maybe you only want to jab at the issue and not explore it

@yo-its-me If you don't explore issues no matter what, you deprive yourself of the chance to find the truth.

Yes, we have created a lot of false gods and did all manner of evil due to those as well. Your casting about how God entered into the world as a man with a simple declaration of (No wouldn't happen that way) is an opinion, not a fact. Seeing counterfeit money doesn't mean the real thing is not out there. There is God, gods, or none at all means someone is right and the others wrong no matter how strongly they believe.

@KellyJay But that doesn't mean that there is real money around also.

There are many reasons why people believe in God or gods, and not all of them apply to each one who believes.

Pretty high on the list of reasons are:

1. We are aware of our own mortality and naturally wonder whether there is anything which comes after death. Of course, an immortal God who promises us immortality (if we believe in Him) is not the only possible answer to this sense of wonder. Buddhists, for example, believe that we do not live only once, but also do not (necessarily) believe in God or gods.

2. We wonder where we came from, or how the universe got started, and "God" is one way to undercut the answer "it's turtles all the way down." (This seems to be one of KellyJay's big issues -- he needs an answer to this question.)

3. We see that justice is not immediate and infallible in life, and this sticks in some people's craws; it helps them to get through the pain and toil of life to imagine that there will be a perfect fit between righteousness and reward, evil and punishment, in some other life, after death. "God" is the promise of that infallible justice, later.
