You need to do a bit more research and stop beleiving everything that you see on US television.

The term "Nazi" is an abreviation of "National Socialist" - so there is a bit of a clue there in the expanded name.

Bristish Socialist George Galloway (once seen as being on the left of the British Labour Party) recently made reference to this very point.

Facism is not ...[text shortened]... communist criticising Capitalism as a political system, as in both cases there are economic systems.
People "of little brain" (apologies to Milne) just think what they're told ( "National Socialists were socialist!!!!" ) is the same reason there was a left-leaning party calling themselves fascist.

Fascism is definitely on the right end of the spectrum. Most authoritarian governments are.

I don't know from where came your political awakening, but they've done you no favors.

This idea that National Socialist weren't socialist - is that a conspiracy theory of yours or can you actually demonstrate that?

As for most Authoritarian governments being on the right, the biggest authoritarian governments have been China (by far) and Russia (when part of the USSR). The EU is making great strides to join those illustrious ranks, give them their due.

The last person that I spoke to that claimed to be "Politcally Awake" insisted that the USA and Britain are true democracies (I bet you do) ????

Because you see it on your favourite news channels and films doesn't mean that it is true Suzi - most of television is actually pretend (that means "not real" to the politically awake)

If you live in the UK you'll know that if the television channels are telling you something the inverse is probably true. I'm not sure that penny has yet dropped with the "politcally awake" in the US yet.

Does it matter to you how I try to show you the truth?

You'll just blow it off with the same "that's what they want you to think" you've already exposed us to.

This ain't my first time to this rodeo. I've dealt with this kind of ignorant fan base before.

Neither of us is convincing the other, because I see your ignorance for what it is, and because you are allergic to the truth.

So I'll leave you to your fantasyland.

You abandon the argument because your only argument is to attack the person instead of dealing with the proposition that you don't agree with and offering proof that you are right. We see this a lot in Europe, to the point where if you say the wrong thing in the UK you go to prison.

I have time for you and am happy to listen to your ideas. This tactic that you use though (and is common with politicians) where you don't adrress the subject but try to attack the person challenging you isn't a great ploy.

You are saying that the Nazis are on the "right" so tell me what is the difference in the way that communist China/Russia operates as opposed to Hitler's Germany?

What defines right and left?

Note that your last word in your post was yet another attack on the person that has challenged you.

This really is a capitulation to fake news. - In the UK we absolutely have free speech and I can pretty much post whatever I like without any fear or chance of going to prison.

But you see I wrote 'pretty much,' as if I post something that incites violence (for example) then yes, a knock at the door would be justified.

Free speech comes with responsibilities.

There are political scientists who claim that Russia/Putin is a dictatorship with fascistic overtones as well.

Key Characteristics

Authoritarianism: Total control by a single party and dictator, rejecting democratic processes.
Ultranationalism: The nation is supreme; intense patriotism, often linked to race or ethnicity, fostering unity and exclusion.
Militarism: Glorification of military power, violence, and war as purifying forces.
Suppression of Opposition: Forcible silencing of dissent, political enemies, and rival groups.
Corporatism: State organizes employers and workers into syndicates to serve national economic goals, controlling labor and industry.
Cult of the Leader: Unquestioning loyalty to a charismatic dictator.
Anti-Liberalism/Democracy: Rejection of individual rights, equality, pluralism, and parliamentary democracy.
Social Hierarchy: Belief in natural elites and social order, often with racial or ethnic divisions.

(The scary part here is to honestly take a look at the direction of the Republican Party under Trump. It checks most of these boxes.)

Historical Context & Examples

Origins: Emerged in early 20th-century Europe (Italy, post-WWI) as a response to perceived societal chaos, liberalism, and communism, drawing on ancient Roman symbols (the fasces).
Major Examples: Benito Mussolini's Italy (the first fascist state) and Adolf Hitler's Nazi Germany (which added virulent racial antisemitism). Others include Franco's Spain and Japan from 1926 to 1945.

Ideological Stance

Far-Right: Sits on the extreme right of the political spectrum.
Opposes: Communism, socialism, liberalism, democracy, and individualism.
Seeks: National rebirth, greatness, and unity, often through imperial expansion or cultural revolution.

This is what is regarded as the key ideas behind fascism.

For more info, see: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fascism

See for yourself how stupid it is to say that the National Socialist Party in Germany was socialist because "it's in the name."

I think thank you may be demonstrating how sheltered you are?

At this point in time barrister Daniel Shensmith is representing a young girl who commented on a tweet, didn’t break the law, and ended up with the police forcing their way into her house and illegally confiscating her phone.

We have a two tier justice system where there are rules for some and rules for others.

A Tory councillors wife posts from the heart, thinks better of it, and despite deleting it goes down for two years. A Labour councillor for Croydon openly suggests cutting people’s throats in front of a cheering crowd and walks .

At the heart of the matter of the problem in the UK, is a philosophy that regards young female nationals as suitable sacrifices on the alter of political expediency.

Ignore the inconvenient plight of the victims in exchange for votes.

Some questions.

What did the young girl comment in response to a tweet?
What exactly did the tory councillor's wife post from the heart?
Does posting something from the heart make any comments okay?

Details please if your points are to show merit.
