I am not going to engage anyone's opinion as it relates to rape, consent or non-consent in marriage or outside of it whether it be Christian or not. As for me, and my opinion... already been stated, I hope you can appreciate that. As for this thread, the larger purpose of my initial post has run its course.

OK, can I engage you on your opinion, then? Would you describe yourself as taking "a morally and intellectually neutral position" on men raping their wives?

I have made no such argument and its reminiscent of the type of intellectually dishonest tactics that has marred these forums. Not only that the statement doesn't even make any logical or rational sense. Its gibberish.

On the contrary, this was almost the ONLY argument you made - and you repeated it over and over again - on the other thread. If anyone is interested, they can look at Thread 165786 where the discussion starts from about page 2 onwards.

please produce the statement where i have stated and i quote

that a woman can't be made to have sex against her will because her "consent" was implicit in her marriage vows

if you cannot or will not then why are you fabricating arguments that people have not made. I am not entirely even clear whether you statement makes logical sense, it appears to me to be gibberish.

Thread 165786, Page 18.

FMF: "The issue is the victim's "will" at the time of sexual intercourse. If it is done against her will then it is rape and it is a moral atrocity."

robbie carrobie: "Consent has already been given."
