Just to be clear, an atheist who is living a righteous life HAS God in his life, even if he has denied God exists?

But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him. (1 John 2:5 KJV)

Noah was saved because he found grace with God, and the reason is he .. was a just man and perfect in his generations, (Genesis 6:9 KJV)

In those days [even now I would imagine], God appeared to, and communicated with people who he considers righteous. John said that Jesus makes his abode with the righteous. In that case to believe is easy,

God would save any righteous person.

He answered God's call, not simply doing it his own way.

Your use of "righteous" in this question has blunted its effect.

I don't understand what you mean. Rajk999 is implying that an atheist has God in their life while they may be living righteous, and denying that God exists.

If Noah had lived righteously and did not answer God's call, would he have been saved?

    Can you expand on "undue"?

Righteous behaviour is subjective to god. You may have been better off using a humanist term, such as 'good' or 'apparently good', or something else.

What ark, Noah didn't listen to God. No ark exists.
