You are really clueless aren't you? So Jesus and his diciples and all the way to Paul were salesman? Well buddy neither are we. No money taken except what's offered to pay for the cost of priniting these life giving magazines and books. WE MAKE NOTHING as would a salesman selling his wares. We pay for our own gas, cars, maintenance, etc, etc, etc.
Please excuse my language but you are really stupid and not worth the time I spend answering your dumb post............

you asked the question about what the kingdom of God looks like, you may of course reread the early parts of the thread to avoid confusion. The point is: he answered your question with scripture and you acted like he never even hinted at scripture.

can speak about the Kingdom of God later, we have bigger fish to fry at the moment.

Didn't Jesus command the apostles to preach the way they did? I recall passages in the bible that basically tell you to keep your mouth shut about your beliefs... unless of course you have been instructed to do otherwise.
Christ said not to cast your pearls before swine, meaning that we should not preach to those who do not wish to hear. For example if I were to understand that the general consesus on this forum is that people prefer not to read what I post then I will respectfully stop posting as Christ suggested.

suck it up Doward,

(Romans 10:11-15) . . .For the Scripture says: “None that rests his faith on him will
be disappointed.” 12 For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for there is
the same Lord over all, who is rich to all those calling upon him. For “everyone who
calls on the name of Jehovah will be saved.” However, how will they ...[text shortened]... Just as it is written:
“How comely are the feet of those who declare good news of good things!”
where does it say that you should knock on the doors of strangers?

where does it say you shouldn't go from house to house after the manner and example
of Paul and the Christ? where does it say you should keep the Good news to yourself
and do nothing with it?

It is clear from the teachings of both Christ and Paul that you should not bother to preach to those who are not interested. I have on many occasion told the JWs in my district that I am a follower of Christ and I dont want them to visit my home to preach and yet they make a nusiance of themselves and still knock on my door.

Do you need to verses?

sigh, you keep telling yourself whatever it is you need to appease you conscience and justify doing nothing.

(Matthew 28:19-20) . . .Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations,
baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit,
 teaching them . . .

perhaps this is also optional, according to you? please note the admonition of the Christ, Go! teach!

As i said, who cares what you think? we are interested in the scriptures, not your
personal preferences. Write to your MP, tell someone that cares.

Ok then lets go your way and not go door to door but do as you think Jesus and Paul did. When was the last time you went out to some street corner or square or whereever you think would qualify to preach and teach with your Bible in hand? If you found someone interested and they invited you into their home, what happened? Please tell us the results?

I preach to people all the time. Dont ask me how and when and what happened. I dont want to know how and when you preach, and I dont ask those personal questions.

How people preach or the good works they do is between them and Christ. Its rude to ask and arrogant to boast about what you do.

Do you need a reference for that?

Not needed but it sounds like a real hit and miss aproach to me. If humans life's are at stake and if one knows the days are short for this world we're in it would seem to be of most importance to ones who truly care about their fellow humans to tell all you can. That is our view. We spend over a billion hours a year doing this.
Nothing to brag about but anyone who cares about other humans should be happy we're doing it instead of saying how foolish, not needed and irritating it is. Don't ya think?
I think of the Titanic sinking. If you were there and you had the opportunity to help save lifes, wouldn't it be a great idea to go knock on the pasangers doors to let them know of the coming doom instead of just standing out in the middle of the dinner room where some might hear your voice but most wouldn't ????????????????
