@galveston75 saidOne gets closer to God by keeping the commandments of Jesus Christ. What you have done instead is to align yourself to a failed church whose false prophesies and false teachings are well documented.
When one is about to take a long, dangerous and complicated trip to a place that will make his life better and will bring one closer to Jehovah, it might not be such a good idea to take advice from one who has no idea how to read the map but should pray to the one who wrote it, and then to associate with others who are also looking to Jehovah for those directions. That is Jehovah's advice.
He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him. Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world? Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.(John 14:21-23 KJV)
There is no long dangerous road, there is no prophecies to understand, no voluminous bible study and analysis. These are the people who enter the Kingdom of God
- the meek and the poor in spirit
- the peace makers
- the merciful
- doers of rightousness
- the Good Samaritans
Go read the teachings of Christ and you will learn the truth instead of worshiping the Jehovah Witneses
@Rajk999
Verse 24 of the chapter you quoted says the one who does not love Him will not keep His WORDS.
You want to HIDE that you do not keep the WORDS that He is "the resurrection and the life" (John 11:25) and that He would raise up the physical "temple" of His body in three days.
"He who does not love Me does not keep My words; and the word which you hear is not Mine, but the Father's who sent Me," (John 14:24)
A false teacher, a wolf in sheep's clothing would cloak his rejection of Christ's words on raising up the temple of His body in three days with impressive sounding obsession with keeping the commandments of the Sermon on the Mount.
The trickery is exposed here.
You don't want to talk to me? Fine. Tell Galveston that you don't really believe Jesus raised from the dead bodily on the third day.
"Jesus answered and said to them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up. Then the Jews said, This temple was built in forty-six years, and You will raise it up in three days?
But He spoke of the temple of His body. When therefore He was raised from the dead, His disciples remembered that He had said this, and they believed the Scripture and the word which Jesus had spoken." (John 2:19-22)
They loved Him and kept His WORDS.
@Rajk999 And what about his commandments do you not see? Go back to those two scriptures that I posted. Why do you not follow those 2 simple commands?
Not sheep like enough? You don't like to follow ones who are placed by Jehovah to be our teachers? Can't be humble?
By the way what failed church do you speak of? Certainly not the JW's. We are doing great for imperfect humans.
You must be looking for perfection. Is that the way you look at yourself?

"Jehovah's Witnesses are the only true prophets of God." (Watchtower 4/1/72)
"When a prophet speaks in the name of the Lord, if the thing does not come about or come true, that is the thing which the Lord has not spoken. The prophet has spoken it presumptuously; you shall not be afraid of him." (Deut. 18:22).
1889 "The battle of the great day of God Almighty, which will end in A.D. 1914 with the complete overthrow of earth's present rulership is already commenced." (Time is at Hand, p.101)
1906 Russell (1st JW President) said: These truths I present as God's mouthpiece. I admit to being the 'faithful and wise servant' foretold in Matthew 24. (Watchtower 7/15/06, p.229, Watchtower 12/1/16.)
1913 "Some have a strong desire to worship God, others have a weak desire, and others have no desire at all. The difference is due to the shape of the brain." (Watchtower3/15/13, p.84).
1917 "In the year 1918, WHEN GOD DESTROYS THE CHURCHES WHOLESALE AND THE CHURCH MEMBERS BY THE MILLIONS, it shall be that any escape shall come to the works of Russell…" "World War I will close about October 1, 1917." (Finished Mystery, p. 485, 268).
1918 "We may confidently expect that 1925 will make the return of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob and the faithful prophets of old, then the condition of human perfection." (Millions Now Living Will Never Die, p. 89).
1929 "The Scriptural proof is that the second presence of Jesus began in 1874."
(Prophecy, p.65).
1943 Franz (current President) said, "JEHOVAH IS THE EDITOR OF THE
WATCHTOWER (Moyle vs. WT). Franz said he was a Hebrew and Greek scholar,
but could not translate Gen. 2:4 before the judge. He also claimed he was offered a Cecil Rhodes Scholarship. The Rhodes Scholarship Trust's president stated, "I have checked our records and do not find Frederick Franz was elected to a Rhodes Scholarship."
1943 "Man cannot by airplane or rockets or other means get above the air envelope which is about our earthly globe and in which man breathes." (Truth Shall Make You Free, p. 285).
1966 "1975 (in early autumn) will be the end of the 6th 1,000-year day of man's existence. It would not be by mere chance or accident but would be according to the loving purpose of Jehovah God for the reign of Jesus Christ to run parallel with the seventh millennium of man's existence." (Everlasting Life in Freedom, p.30).
1966 "Six thousand years from man's creation will end in 1975, and the seventh period of a thousand years of human history will begin in the fall of 1975 C.E." (Life Everlasting in Freedom of the Sons of God, p. 29).
1968 "The battle of Armageddon will be all over by the autumn of 1975. It may involve only a difference of weeks or months, but not years." (Why Are You Looking Forward to 1975, Watchtower 8/15/68).
@galveston75 saidI'm responding to YOUR comments and questions. You said your church is not a failure.
@Rajk999 What does any of this have to do with this thread? It appears you can not back up your own thread. Is that the case?
What do I have to back up. You asked no question about the opening post. Do you have a question?
@galveston75 saidAnother familiar name, nice seeing you!
So...... Just been sitting back and listening. Now this subject of the last days and the events that will happen before and after this event in humans history is being explained by the poster and by a couple others here..
Many events have been brought out by the ones here that are described in the Bible. Some are right in the events but not in the order or even what ea ...[text shortened]... ssociate with others who are also looking to Jehovah for those directions. That is Jehovah's advice.
@galveston75
Was Rajk999 a non-conforming previous Jehovah's Witness student ?
Was he at odds one day with the "faithful and prudent servant" of leading Jehovah's Witnesses?
Did he take the teachings but not the leadership?
Did he break away, go off on his own (with JW teaching) and seek an independent
ministry?
Do I sense that both of you are hushed about what you really teach about Jesus resurrection - that He did not physically, bodily rise from the dead ?
Here's your chance to set the record straight on you and him about the resurrection of Christ.
@galveston75 saidThe subject, according to you is how the JWs are a superior organisation and they possess all truth especially regarding the prophecies of the future age. So Im setting the stage for that discussion. If you claim superiority then we need to first establish this as a fact. I have posted just a few of the hundreds of failed prophecies of the Watchtower. Why are you silent on this? Are you ashamed of the Watchtower?
@Rajk999 No it's not. Now get back to the subject.
@Rajk999
"Shhhhhhhhhh about Christ's bodily resurrection"
Why are you SILENT on the physical and bodily resurrection of Jesus?
This is a prophecy that YOU fail to mention WAS fulfilled.
"And He said to them, Thus it is written, that the Christ would suffer and rise up from the dead on the third day." (Luke 24:46)
So you think though you reject this truth you will bribe your conscience by talking about "the commandments of Jesus, the commandments of Jesus, the commandments of Jesus" ?
That is a Jesus who is not for you the resurrected Lord?
If you in any way came out of the JWs you didn't come out enough yet.
You should repent completely from rejecting the resurrection of Jesus and bring
Galveston with you. That is OUT of the teaching that Jesus is not Jehovah God incarnate and the resurrected man.
@galveston75 saidPeoples religious associations only come to light when they speak alot about it, like you do. This thread is a good example. Have not heard from you in years and your first post is all about the superiority of your church, which anyone can see is false.
@sonship I don't know his history of previous religious associations. Sorry.
