The Evilutionist has no reasonable idea. What you call ideas are nothing more than fanciful notions, fairy tales, dreams, opinions, guesses, and deceitful schemes.

God has committed a great deal to man. He has left his imprint everywhere, from the complexity of the human body to the stars above to gaze at and behold his glory.
He has also shown his love for mankind by sending his beloved son to die on a cross to give man hope, eternal life and forgiveness of his sin.

What has man done in return? Rebel against God the creator of heaven and earth. Of all the horrendous sins man has committed, there is no greater sin than to ignore God and his son Jesus who died for them.

This is the one great sin that God will not ignore. He gave out of love, and has been rejected, spurned and even ignored. Man has spit on the sacrifice of Jesus. There is no hell deep enough for those who reject a loving Father.

You who have chosen to reject God's love and mercy, should tread very carefully. Be careful of your words, because they will be repeated back to you one day when you are forced to bow down in front of Christ the Lord, to answer why you have rejected him.

Rom 1:18-25

18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, 19 because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them. 20 For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, 21 because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Professing to be wise, they became fools, 23 and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man — and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things.

24 Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves, 25 who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.

no. no more.

i and everyone having a working brain here keep trying to have a conversation with you and the rest of your kind. we try to mutilate our knowledge, make it simpler, in the hope that you will understand it finally.

i am done. i am done trying to point out how insanely idiotic parts of the bible are. how irrelevant those parts are to christianity and to everything else, everywhere. you won't change, not even a little. you lack the intellectual capacity to even provide an entertaining debate.

be happy. contrary to what sonhouse says, one can be very happy with a head filled with utter nonsense. you don't need to understand physics, biology, genetics or any other science to be happy. just eat your tv programs and live your life.

As I said, it is not very edifying.

You will take some things as literally true when it suits you, but when it says 'God made two lights' (when he only made one) you will turn language on its head to fit your purposes.
I'm taking as it is written, you are the one suggesting that it means
something else. I said that we get light from the moon and we do it is
reflective, a lesser light, but we get it.

Sometimes I think what is the point of the Spirituality Forum. Why do we allow ourselves to be drawn into these endlessly tedious exchange of views? Debates are just a game - no one ever changes their opinions because of views expressed. Too often they descend into playground I'm-right-you're-wrong tittle-tattle. You are right. Just be happy!

A great Zen master was asked what the secret of Zen was. He replied: when tired, sleep. When hungry, eat. But Master, the student responded, we all do that. No! The Zen Master said, when you are tired you think thoughts, when you are hungry you think thoughts.

I sometimes wish I had never started this debate, although it is interesting to see how passionate people are about spiritual matters. At the end of the day it's just great that we are all different. Why try to make people all the same????

You are incorrect. I frequently change my opinion as a result of debate. And hopefully you will believe me and change your opinion on this particular issue.
At least one poster (I forget his name) has stated that he became atheist as a result of discussions in this forum.
There are a few hard heads that never admit when they are wrong, and constantly repeat the same false claims that were proven false in the past, but not everyone is like that.

The problem is that every single time you say something about the universe in support of Gods existence it turns out you are wrong. Why is this? Its as if you take the trouble to look for falsehoods to support your religion. Are you just trolling, or do you really not realize what you are doing?

I have a son, and I hope I am a loving father.

He can reject my love. He can spurn me, ignore me, spit on the sacrifices I make for him. But I will never, ever torture him. If I did, you would call me a psychopath.

The idea of torturing, or being able to torture, somebody you supposedly love (or even someone you don't) is completely alien to me.

Then again, your God's way of supposedly showing his love for me is to incarnate his own son (which I never asked him to) for the express purpose of torturing him to death (which is repulsive as, for God, it was clearly possible to achieve the same end without this). So love and torture seem to go hand and hand with your God, and he seems to prefer decisions which involve torture over those that do not, even though they could achieve the same end.

By my reckoning, your God does not know what the word love means.

You should be careful before devoting your life to such a cruel and immoral being and one that consistently backs up his message by threats or actions of violence.

The Bible does not say 'we get light reflected from the moon'. It says that God 'made two lights'.

If someone asked you to 'make a light' and you made a mirror, do you think that you have done what was asked of you?

The natural reading of the text would imply that the writer thought that the sun and the moon were two separate light sources, one brighter than the other.

A brain is less important than the heart. Yes, I know, not technically true, but you know what I mean.

None of the Bible is actually irrelevant to Christianity, but some parts should be relegated to their proper place. But actual denying of the Bible is not the way to go. Mind has its place, it is true, but to prioritize it over the heart is wrong.

It seems your voyage to the dark side is complete.

This is not good news. If this is true, then at least one person will eventually have to answer to God for what they did here, perhaps more. I suppose it can be hoped that that person (who became atheist) was not a Christian who was turned from God by those in this forum, but rather a fence straddler who might not have turned to God anyway.
