Indeed, but that's why they don't just use one section of DNA, as I understand it. Can't really remember the details. Seemed convincing and reliable at the time though.

I'm pretty sure the fact that the Earth is spinning doesn't have as huge as affect on volcanoes as you'd think. Also what common sense says that having a Pangaea type landmass would give rise to bigger volcanoes?
