Jesus tells us that those who make him Lord follows God's commands.

Simpletons in the US like to claim that how one lives is meaningless. Jesus states quite the opposite.

Based on your comments, you are duped. If you can't judge a spirit by its fruits then you do not follow Christ's teachings. You believe in false prophets.
No, I don’t think everyone who claims to have God’s Holy Spirit is telling the truth in the same way I don’t believe everyone who says they are a Christian is telling the truth.

I don’t believe in false prophets; in fact, I don’t believe in any prophets. I believe in the Bible.

As far as discernment goes, the influence that God’s Holy Spirit has in and on a believer’s life is tied to how much that believer minds the things of the Spirit through reading the Bible and prayer. We are still in the flesh and still in a sinful world and as long as that’s the case, there will always be a struggle between the Spirit and the flesh. Paul wrote on this quite a bit in Galatians.

No one claims how one lives is meaningless. If one is genuinely saved, an aversion to sin and good works will follow due to God’s Holy Spirit indwelling a new believer.

What's up with eladar? He sounds like Rajk making stuff up about what Christians believe and assuming those of us who walk in grace think such doltish things.

I was gonna say... so THIS is where all the pharisees hang out. I thought they died off.

Feel free to live in sin and say you love Jesus. It won't work out for you but you are free to believe as you wish.

Rajk is an extreme nut job that believes sin is OK. He is the other side of your coin. Both sides end up claiming living in sin is just fine.

Why are you making it up that tom is living in sin?

You do know, don't you, that you are projecting a presupposition based on the lack of evidence?

Now I know you're troubled. Rajk believes no such thing.

Have you read any of his posts?

And you're wrong about me, knucklehead. Living in sin is NOT ok.

You, sir, are not the Bible. Your interpretation leaves much to be desired, such as reality. Just another Bible worshipper ignoring what the Bible actually means.

Was the Bible written by prophets?

No, I am not the Bible. I just take the Bible at its word and do not twist it in the name of interpretation.

I have read his posts. He believes that a person can practice sexual immorality and be found righteous on the day of Judgment.

Ya, he says that too. He also says atheists will enter the kingdom of God.

James 1:8
A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.
