I have nothing to say to persons who quote partial quotaions, taken out of context from articles they have not read. More than that i have provided the actual principle Christ himself stated would be the defining characteristic of all true Christians backed up with empirical data demonstrating that Jehovahs Witnesses fulfill that criteria, you may make reference to that, if you like.
Oh well, ok. Forget divegeester for a moment then. I myself will ask you for an unequivocal answer. I know that some don't, but I personally look upon Jehovah's Witnesses to be Christians and that you believe strongly that you "fulfill [the] criteria". That aside, the question in hand is something different. Does a person, in your view, have to be a member of the JW organisation in order to be a Christian?

The defining characteristic of Christianity is love, self sacrificing love, again here is the
principle,

(John 13:35) . . .By this all will know that you are my disciples, if you have love among
yourselves.”

ones assertions should be coupled with data or references, so much on this forum
passes for truth when its nothing more than mere opinion, unsubstantiated at that.

Fine, but does a person have to be a member of the JW organisation to be a Christian?

I'll remember that next time we have a discussion about the Biblical flood or the origins of humanity.

I have given you the Biblical definition, I will not go beyond what is written,

(1 Corinthians 4:6) . . .“Do not go beyond the things that are written,” . . .

for while I understand your currency is opinion, i concern myself with only those details
which have a reference, in this instance a Biblical principle or are empirically
substantiated with data.

The question is not whether JWs are Christians, robbie. The question is whether you think, according to "what is written", JWs are the only Christians. What is your opinion on this matter?

Meaning that you have no opinion about Christians from other [non-JW] denominations also being Christians?

It would seem robbie doesn't know and/or has no opinion about it.

Meaning unless it can be established empirically, i have no interest in proffering
unsubstantiated opinion.

Or he does have an opinion but doesn't wish to tell us, for whatever reason, and is simply obfuscating.
