Truth- Absolute or Relative?

Spirituality

All you really have to do with such statements is ask, "Is that true, or your opinion?"
And, in spiritual matters and with reference to the outcome of your conjecture, speculation, and aspiration about supernatural causality, all you have to do is declare your opinions and perspectives "true".

I think you have misread the situation. I’m talking about the truth about supernatural things.
All we have are our subjective opinions about supernatural things. If, in your opinion I am mistaken and you disagree, that's fine by me.

I am not making any "absolute claims". I am listening to people like you sharing your subjective personal opinions and, in return, I am sharing my subjective personal opinions.
Absolutely.

No, you were talking about how I found SecondSon's assertion to be mistaken. Your whole "absolute truth" riff seems to have served you poorly. Was he mistaken? Or wasn't he mistaken? What does your "absolute truth" riff tell you? Does his "absolute truth" riff mean he is right and I am mistaken? Gosh. How is this wishy-washy riffing going to fare when you talk about your personal opinions about "God"?

I think we can agree that in reality SecondSon is either mistaken or he isn’t in the absolute sense of the word.

My personal opinion is that he was.

You seem to be completely hamstrung.

So much for your "absolute truth" stuff.

In my opinion, he was mistaken - and kind of grandstanding too. It was for the consumption of others. I reckon.

Your opinion is either right (a true reflection of reality) or wrong (not a true reflection of reality) isn’t it or would you say it is neither?

You are entitled to your personal opinion about it.

Your "riff" seems to have stymied you on the matter.

Sounds like the kind of noise your ripcord might make.

My personal opinion would either be aligned with what was really the case in reality or it wouldn’t.

You are entitled to agonize over it as much as you want.

“To say of what is that it is not, or of what is not that it is, is false, while to say of what is that it is, and of what is not that it is not, is true; so that he who says of anything that it is, or that it is not, will say either what is true or what is false.” – Aristotle
