@fmf saidAw, that wasn't a jeer though. I was explaining the logic behind it because it had come up.
No, it isn't. Save this silly stuff for people who believe in your God. There is no "tragic" thing in my life that has been caused by me going from a Christian to a non-Christian.
Do you see my point in the sense that it isn't a jeer?
Or am I not clever enough and I'm losing something in the mix?
@philokalia saidI haven't called you "dumb". This is a word you have introduced, not me.
Alright, so it is safe to say you think I'm too dumb to follow your comments, right?
@philokalia saidI haven't aimed a "raw personal insult" at you. But I see what you did there. What I 'just' said was "What's interesting is that the stupid raw personal insults are Christian v Christian and Christian v Atheist, but not Atheist v Christian." And, besides, I haven't insulted you on this thread.
This is interesting because didn't you just remark how atheists never insult Christians on this forum?
@fmf saidSo how would you refer to your insult?

Cooked?
@philokalia saidI didn't say it was "a jeer", though. But I see what you've done there. What I actually said was: Theists telling atheists - on a website like this - that their atheism is "tragic" is like football crowds jeering at the opposing supporters.
Aw, that wasn't a jeer though.
@fmf saidSo when I explained the statement that it is thought of as tragic

It was LIKE a jeer.... Right?
@philokalia saidI haven't insulted you. I haven't called you "stupid" and I haven't called you "dumb". You have introduced these words, not me.
So how would you refer to your insult?
@philokalia saidTheists telling atheists that their atheism is "tragic" has them behaving like football crowds and losing themselves in the groupthink and bumperstickerism that goes on. I didn't say that telling an atheist that their atheism is "tragic" is "a jeer".
So when I explained the statement that it is thought of as tragic
It was LIKE a jeer.... Right?
@philokalia saidI didn't say it was "a jeer". But I see what you're doing here. Nor have I said you are "dumb". Nor have I said that you are "stupid". Nor did I talk about "mean memes" when I was talking about "raw personal insults".
Do you see my point in the sense that it isn't a jeer?
@fmf saidYou were able to deduce that Sonship was calling someone a leper.
I haven't insulted you. I haven't called you "stupid" and I haven't called you "dumb". You have introduced these words, not me.
What would you deduce from your own comment now?
This is not even a serious inquiry because we all know you were intending to call me stupid or, at least, less clever than you. And that's fine. Those statements happen all the time on forums like this.
Why don't you just admit you made a rude comment along those lines and then we could all come to terms with the fact that people say rude things on internet forusm and no one has to try to wreck people over these little, stupid passing jeers.

@philokalia saidHe called Ghost of a Duke a stinky drunken leper.
You were able to deduce that Sonship was calling someone a leper.
@philokalia saidYou don't have to "deduce" anything. Like with sonship you can just look at the words that have been typed. Just read them. No 'deduction' necessary'. Maybe my reply to your amoral justification for slavery just went over your head. Maybe that's why you blanked it out.
What would you deduce from your own comment now?
@philokalia saidWhat "rude comment" did I make?

@philokalia saidIs it rude to say that you seem really fixated and sensitive about the issue of "intelligence"? You seem to mention "intelligence" in an inordinate number of your posts. I did not call you "stupid" and I did not call you "dumb". You seem to think I did.
This is not even a serious inquiry because we all know you were intending to call me stupid or, at least, less clever than you.

@fmf saidRather amusingly, he has recently toyed with the idea that the insult was a parody of my tag line 'Spirited Misfit.'
He called Ghost of a Duke a stinky drunken leper.
The 'spirited' I guess refers to the drunken element and the 'misfit' to the leper and bad body odor. He worded it in a way that implied I was intentionally describing myself as a 'stinky drunken leper' which would of course absolved him of the insult.
Never mind that the 'Misfit' was coined by Suzianne (creator of the Clan 'The Misfits' ) and that 'Spirited' clearly relates to the 'Ghost' element of my username.
Edit: For the sake of edification: I live a life completely void of drunkenness, and am thankfully free of leprosy and bad body odor. (Thanks to 'Lynx' I smell delightful).
