What you guys don't seem to grasp is that that god wasn't the god that your religion follows.

Not so, that's a blanket statement. Specifically are referencing the God of Abraham, Issac, and Jacob?

What about the eye for an eye law? Is this just? The Canaanites seemed to have done the same to their ancestors.

This is the same entity that called Abraham out of Ur. And subsequently destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah. A place or society marked by evil, depravity, and promiscuousness, Sodomy a practice of a people who's crimes against humanity are pervasive and tend to destroy empires. Let's suppose for a moment that Sodom and Gomorrah's influence on society was just a glimpse into what surronding nations had become. The earth has always been a battle ground for the souls of men. These are the chronicles of the Sons of Light and the Sons of Darkness. Stop with the superstition!

Sodomy is a crime against humanity? Maybe Gomorrahry was, but they must of stamped that out since we have no clue to what it was.

No , but murdering all the male children in a city certainly is, and so is the rest of what Moses did to the Midianites.
