Sratpam

ES

Let's not interprete this too literal Phlabby ....... Captain Kirk, our "humorous" reverend, was clearly adressing the crowd and not Sratpam.

Not quite. In Bergman's "The Seventh Seal" a game of chess is plaid between "Death" with the black pieces of course and a knight playing the white pieces. If the knight wins he will live for ever ..... Of course Death wins ......... I'm not sure what happens next ..... in the film 😉

Only in case God is a magician. If God were a magician many atheists would believe in Him.

I think it's bizaare to think that my father would torture and kill his only son (odd ...[text shortened]... e crimes everyone but that one son committed. This is not something I respect or admire.
I'm sure God's impressed

The very question itself is spurious. One cannot hate what does not exist.

In my own opinion, "God"...as defined by your bible...is an artificial construct. It was developed as a form of control by men.

Indeed. I'm inclined to agree with HoH, though....Niven's solo work is so much more enjoyable. 🙂

I have had several incidents in my life that i believe God was over me. Come on God was even willing to give up his own son so that all of or sins would be forgiven. 🙂
Could it be Submission? With all the blessings and power that GOD, gave to Lucifer. Lucifer questioned within himself Why, should he submit to GOD? Lucifer had watched and seen All the Creations,of creations of GOD. And figured that he could do the same things that GOD coud do.

"Why do people hate God??"

Beacuse they wan't to be God. They think they would do a better job with the position than He does. It basically boils down to jealosy.
