The carnal nature hates God, hates Christ, and hates righteousness.
is that the same carnal nature that your god supposedly gave us?

God is like a perfect father that takes care of you and watches over you. He has a gardening angel watching over all of us. Even for none believers. I have had several incidents in my life that i believe God was over me. Come on God was even willing to give up his own son so that all of or sins would be forgiven. 🙂
Ah yes, the gardening angel. He goes around and uproots all of the bad weeds in God's garden.

Nope, I think this would make him like a religous leader.

And what would you consider God to be if he took carnal form and started a software company to conquer the modern world? Oh, that's right, a religious leader.

Jumping into a year-old thread feels somewhat odd, however...

Why do people hate God?

Depends on the "God" in question. If it is the God of the Christian Bible, people hate Him because He is unnecessarily cruel and vengeful, often displaying traits held by some of history's more popular genocidal maniacs.

To carry the analogy forward, no amount of "love" excuses a father who beats and then murders his children for their "own good".

Other Gods carry the same baggage - see their respective holy book(s).

If one hates a personal concept of "God", the decision and motivations are purely individual.
