Which comes first? -the ‘faith’ in something or the ‘reasoning’ behind it?
If there IS rational ‘reasoning’ behind it then it isn’t “faith” and there would be no reason to use ‘faith‘ because there would be rational ‘reasoning’ behind it -right?
Of course, you may ‘decide’ to believe X because you WANT X to be true and make yourself believe it BECAUSE you WANT X to be true (in which case it is based on ‘faith’ and not ‘reason’ because that is what 'faith' is). Then you may, like so many people, try and logically justify that blind faith by using twisted reasoning (thus NOT real reasoning) to convince yourself (and sometimes others) that it isn’t just based on blind faith but at least in part is based on logical reasoning (which it isn’t).

As is the case with busy forums, sometimes I lose track of what the thread was about or why I made a certain comment.
I am a composer myself and I have read Huxley's Brave New World. If the point here is individualism, Anthem by Ann Rand I think goes further than Brave New World as a negative utopia to make the point of preserving the ego.
Why do you ask?
What are we discussing anyway here? Why God is a God who hides Himself ?

I guess I liked your earlier point , and wanted to point out that we don't all have the same disposition.
Anyway I don't think God hides.
God has revealed herself to me in many different ways.
I admire your apparent devotion to scriptures and I wish you luck.
(dont think that I wont engage you again though)
