My opinion is that the Christians whom I treat quite well in brotherly love on the Forum, are reserving judgment in a more quiet, wait and see consideration. An exception may be with the lad from South Africa whose name I cannot recall.
And Dariusz is too timid to come out and unfurl his or her flag.
The ones hollering "INTOLERANCE !!!" are mostly the atheists like you and Ghost.
You see what Lee taught was in love that his brothers and sisters in these ISMS would be cared for and ministered to.
I am clocking you to see how long it will be before you take off your TOLERANCE hat and put on your APATHY hat - "Well, since I am a lack of belief Atheist, [trumpets and fanfare] it doesn't really matter to me anyway."
There is biblical ground that the event of the rapture will be a shock and surprise to us. And "US" there, potentially includes ME TOO.
I have never boasted or bragged that I just KNOW I will be raptured.
The warnings of missing the secret rapture I take seriously concerning myself, even though I have met for years on the local ground.
Look what Jesus warned the church in Sardis in Revelation 3:3.
"Remember therefore how you have received and heard, and keep it and repent. If therefore you will not watch, I will come as a thief, and you shall by no means know atr what hour I will come upon you."" (Rev. 3:3)
So, we ... I said WE including me, Witness, and anyone else who is a Christian ... that there is the possibility that Christ will suddenly come on those not vigilant or watching in the spirit.
Now if that should happen and some of us believers in Jesus are left, bewildered, does it take rocket science to assume that those who were TAKEN will be examined as to what they were doing and what they were taking in as ministry?
I mean, of course, the question will circulate -
Ie. "What happened to them? Why did they suddenly go with the Lord and we are left here? What were they living anyway? What were they reading about that so prepared them?"
@divegeester
Tired of FMF doing all the heavy lifting for him, the Unitarian chimes in.
“Solidly Christian” what does this mean?
Let's put it this way. It probably means LESS someone who scoffs at the redeeming blood of Christ in skepticism. ie. "Why, there is no fountain filled with blood for sin."
I would say that such a mock is probably indicative of a flimsier belief in the New Testament salvation through Christ then a more "solid" one.
@sonship saidIt gets to the very heart of your fanciful nonsense about Christians from "Satanic" organizations - literally billions of Christians - needing to run out and buy Witness Lee books as the world supposedly comes to an end.
How many copies of the Witness Lee books are they going to print?
Woe ! What a knock down utterly powerful question !!
It gets to the very heart of your fanciful nonsense about Christians from "Satanic" organizations - literally billions of Christians - needing to run out and but Witness Lee books as the world supposedly comes to an end.
Get the quotation "Satanic organizations" as in plural if you want to really trounce me.
I'm out on lime now. And you have a search engine to search all of Lee's writings. So go prove to me the use of the phrase "Satanic [plural] organizations".
I'm even helping you ! Apathy now ??
@sonship said"Reserving judgement" about the "Satanic" organizations you say their churches are part of?
My opinion is that the Christians whom I treat quite well in brotherly love on the Forum, are reserving judgment in a more quiet, wait and see consideration.
That's how you interpret their silence on the matter?
Again folks, What is the big surprise that if some Christians should be suddenly raptured that those not found watching and ready would want to know WHY they missed it?
What is the big issue with assuming such would take place?
Do you think they will be combing through FMF's atheist writings to see what happened ?
Call it fanciful if you wish. But I imagine that it is more likely the bookshelves of the Christians taken will be examined to see WHAT it was that so prepared them to go up with the Lord.
I mean ... "DUH!"
Do I guarantee this will happen in MY lifetime? No.
Do I guarantee this will never include MY bewilderment as well? No.
No proud guarantee of that in spite of FMF's warped way of twisting things in his suspicious mind.
sonship, if you think Witness Lee did not talk about the Catholic church as being a ""Satanic" organization and about the churches of Protestantism being ""Satanic" organizations and about "Judaism" as being a "Satanic" organization too, just say so.
You surely aren't going to pretend that Roman Catholicism and Protestantism and Judaism are somehow one organization?
If you think they are somehow "one organization", just say so.
Why are they basically ignoring you? Are they your audience?
Old twisto brain strikes again.
I think some are not ignorant of the discussion. I think some are wiser then you and take a more cautious attitude. Look up the Bereans in the Bible. They were more noble and examined the Scriptures to see if these things were so.
Knee-jerk reaction of "INTOLERANCE!" is more the style of atheists here and Unitarians, who seek reasons to distance themselves from Christian theists anyway.
Remember now. No guarantees from me that I could not also be caught off guard.
@sonship saidThis is what you believe is the reason why the "solid Christians" here completely ignore you on this matter? Because they are wise and noble?

Yes.
Since you didn't bother to take a breath and find the quotation, you concede, I suppose, that "Satanic organizations" [plural] was not what Lee wrote.
Next step. Since Cain murdered Abel - religion as a general matter of fallen mankind has been influenced by the enemy of God.
So in a real since ONE organization is meant.
You are taking the diagnosis of a caring physician who cares about the sickness of people to be honest about where the problem lies, and twisting it in your suspicion (with the help of a few selected out of context quotes) to build a case of persecution from one intolerant group towards all others.
Some will be impressed with this twisting. Not me.
There is more hope in this kind of faithful spiritual diagnosis then in all your "there is no God" agnostic / atheism. I mean your crocodile tears here are not that touching.
