Good grief, amigo. You can’t stop yourself from regularly sinning on the forum of a chess website; I shudder to think of your behavior in real life.
Accept Jesus Christ into your heart. Be sincere in your acceptance. Let God’s Holy Spirit indwell you and start to change your heart. It’s the only way, amigo.
Originally posted by @rajk999I’ve never said I live a sinful life. That’s more of your bearing of false witness against me. I’ve said I still occasionally sin as we all do. But I repent and ask for forgiveness and, because I have accepted Christ and God’s New Covenant with man, Jesus Christ’s blood cleanses me.
Heirs and children of God .. of course.
What did Paul say that these children of God must do.?
What are the consequences of disobedience to God?
For your own sake I hope you know.
HINT : It is a worse fate than an infidel or unbeliever.
So I suggest that you stop your boasting that you are saved with one mouth.
And then with your other mouth proclaiming that you continue to live a sinful life.
Good luck with that attitude.
Do you know nothing of the New Testament and New Covenant?

Originally posted by @thinkofoneAccepting Jesus Christ into your heart is all that is needed for salvation. Such acceptance, if sincere, leads to God’s Holy Spirit indwelling a new believer and it is God’s Holy Spirit Who changes one’s heart and, consequently, his or her behavior.
Not only IF they are "sincere". According to Jesus only IF they KEEP His commandments.
John 14
16“I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may be with you forever; 17that is the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it does not see Him or know Him, but you know Him because He abides with you and will be i ...[text shortened]... who believe that "they are sincere in their acceptance of Christ" and have " God’s Holy Spirit".
Paul in Galatians spoke of a struggle between the Spirit and the flesh, which is why strengthening the Holy Spirit’s influence on a believer’s life through regular reading of the Holy Bible and prayer are essential. One does good works and develops an aversion to sin through the power of God’s Holy Spirit.
But salvation is from believing in Jesus Christ - nothing more. That is why the thief on the cross next to Jesus was saved. The thief expressed belief in Jesus Christ, had no opportunity to do good works and he was saved.
“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.”
(John 6:47)
Genuine and sincere belief in Christ and acceptance of Christ will lead to good works and an aversion to sin because God’s Holy Spirit has indwelt the new believer and started to change his or her heart.
But a new believer who dies very shortly after sincerely accepting Christ is still saved.
And one does good works not from one’s own effort, but by strengthening the influence of God’s Holy Spirit through regular reading of the Holy Bible and prayer.

Do not give dogs what is holy; do not throw your pearls before swine. If you do, they may trample them under their feet, and then turn and tear you to pieces.

Originally posted by @fmfThat’s because you’re the “natural man” Paul refers to in 1 Corinthians 2:14:

“But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.”
I also fear you are among them that Paul writes about elsewhere in 1 Corinthians:
“For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.”
(1 Corinthians 1:18)

I give you credit for apologizing to the community for doing it, but I’ve only been here a month and don’t know if you explained why you did that in your apology.
I’ve asked you to pm me the thread in which you apologized to the community as well.
