I do. However, this 'sharing the same reality' thing does not mean that I have to concur with all claims you make about that reality, just as you don't have to accept mine.

Do you believe that all truth is relative or is truth universal?
This is one of your ripcord questions, isn't it?

When I claim that your personal moral beliefs, in so far as you have described them, are sheer nonsense, I do so without asserting that there is a "universal moral standard" and don't accept that I have to subscribe to the idea that there is such a thing.

You are unable to differentiate between the degree of "evil" exhibited by someone who is prideful - or a ...[text shortened]... I am glad to hear you find my views incoherent. It would be disturbing if it were not the case.
What does 'good' and 'evil' mean to you? Do they describe something 'real' or 'imaginary'?

It is always wrong to torture another human being for the sole purpose of having fun.

Ok so if we all share they same reality, then that which is genuinely true is true for all of us not just some of us right?

I've answered this before. In detail. Directly addressed to you. Relatively recently.

Give me an example of something that is "genuinely true is true for all and not just some of us".

That's weird, I have never asked you that question before.

I think it's wrong. Sure. Do you?

I think it's wrong to torture another human being for any purpose whatsoever. Is that a "universal truth" too?

We were all born on planet earth and one day we are all probably going to die.

You seriously think that you haven't asked me what I think "evil" is, and that I didn't answer openly and in detail?

Do you think there is ever a case when it is not true?

Real or imaginary?

The way that you've phrased this question implies to me that you think that there are circumstances when torture is acceptable. Care to state what they are?

Some may argue that torturing someone who holds information that could save a million lives may be morally acceptable. I phrased it the way I did to avoid such red herrings.
