1918! 1918! 1918! 1918!

I used to love chanting that at THE Stadium.

Smokey Joe Wood was a great pitcher until he fell off of that horse drawn street car!
How long do you think it'll be before it's apropos to start chanting "2000! 2000! 2000!" at the Yankees when they come into town?

Actually, by that time, Garcia, Moseby and Whitt were gone.

In '92 we had Olerud, Alomar, Gruber, Devon White (an incredible CF), Carter and Dave Winfield with Jack Morris, Key, Stieb, Hentgen, Guzman, Stottlemyre, Cone, Leiter, Ward, Henke et al.

The next year we picked up Molitor and Ricky Henderson.

Man those were great years.
They were fun teams.

Devon white! I forgot about him. and I totally forgot that Ricky played too. Where did he play?

LOL! Well yes of course. Does that mean that the Blue Jays won the USA Championship?

How about if we just call it a World Series Title? But they have called it the World Series winner the World Champions for a long time.

Who do Palynka and those others want to call the world champs? Greece?

Moseby played CF but he was gone by that time. I think he played for Detroit.

I saw him play for Detroit at Fenway.

What about Jesse Barfield. He must have been gone by then too?

Greece are European Champions.

For you to call it World Series it must be open to all countries with access through either qualification or rankings. If not, it's a travesty (no, I'm not talking about darvlay).

It's the World Series. They won't change the name, and don't need to. The best players in the world play MLB baseball. I look forward to Boston’s new acquisition from Japan... Daisuke Matsuzaka. The guy has got like 5 different pitches to keep the other best players in the WORLD swinging at nothing.

With luck Boston will keep The Man Ram also, I don't want to see him going to the Angels. Ortiz would suffer without his protection, for sure!

They paid $51,000,000 just for the right to negotiate with that guy!!

They could have bought a couple of dozen cricket teams instead.
