Just get them on the schedule and it will happen.
I'm sure they'd love to get more BCS conference teams on their schedule but they are too afraid to play the Broncos. They played and beat Oregon in 2008 and 2009 both years in which the Ducks went 10-3 and the second won the PAC-10. The evidence that Boise State can't beat good BCS teams is non-existent.
Originally posted by no1marauderI already showed you that Boise plays complete garbage week after week (and therefore can rest for their one or two decent games) while teams like Alabama schedule six top twenty teams and have to play with their former Heisman winner and their top receiver hurt. The winners of the conference which play the best teams should play each other and the winner of the garbage conferences should play each other and you can watch Boise - TCU again.

Everyone from Jan of 2007 is gone so that game means nothing.

So far, Boise has beaten two ranked teams when they played them. Last year, Boise defeated the PAC-10 champion. Just because you're terrified of Boise doing what it does i.e. win football games against your favored conference teams, doesn't mean they shouldn't get the chance to. By your "logic", Miami and Florida St. wouldn't have gotten their chances to crush Big 12, Big Ten and SEC teams in the 1980's and 1990's.

They beat Virginia Tech who is so talented that the next week they lost at home to James Madison. The also beat Oregon State who is 3-3. The rest of Boise's schedule is Wyoming, Toledo, San Jose State, Louisiana Tech, Hawaii, Idaho, Fresno State, Nevada and Utah State. Obviously none of them are ranked. The schedule stinks. Oregon, Alabama, Auburn, Michigan State, Ohio State, LSU, Oklahoma would all destroy those teams also.
I am not afraid of Boise. I just know that there schedule is a joke and I would not give them a shot at the national championship game.
Originally posted by quackquackIn the latest Sagarin ratings (http://www.usatoday.com/sports/sagarin/fbt10.htm?loc=interstitialskip), Boise State's schedule is rated the 55th most difficult. Alabama is slightly higher at 46th. Ohio State's is 81st and they were rated #1 before losing last week.

Boise State plays in a mid-major conference, so it's overall schedule is a bit weaker. Unlike teams in the BCS conferences, they generally try to schedule difficult non-conference opponents like Oregon (which no longer wants to play them after getting beat two years in a row), Virginia Tech (ranked in the preseason Top 10 and still a team that could make the BCS bowls) and Oregon State (ranked when Boise played and defeated them). But most BCS conference teams aren't interested in playing such a tough out of conference game.
When Boise gets their chance against BCS conference competition, they win. Trying to keep them out of the NCG when it is recognized they are one of the best teams in the country (#2 ranked in most polls and #3 in the initial BCS standings) is just petty, irrational bias. Utah took apart Alabama as 14 point dogs in a bowl game less than two years ago; where is there some evidence that top mid majors can't compete with the BCS conference elite? Heck, Butler even made it to the Finals of March Madness; why shouldn't a mid major go to the BCS championship if they are as obviously qualified as Boise State is?
Originally posted by no1marauderThe rankings will change because Boise already completed the hardest part of their soft schedule while major conference continue to play the hard part of their schedule. It is completely irrelevant why Boise plays in a garbage conference or what you belive they could do based on games four years ago. The fact is that there are teams that play five or six top 20 teams and the winner of those conference deserves a shot ahead of some team that play in a joke conference.

The SEC West has six teams 5 are ranked. Boise plays in a conference with Hawaii, Fresno State, Lousinina Tech, Nevada, Idaho, Utah State, New Mexico State and San Jose State. Apparently you are the only person in America who think they are equivalent.
Originally posted by quackquackNitwit, no one said the SEC is equivalent to ANY other conference at the present time. But rather than merely crowning the SEC Champion as College Champion and saving us the bother of an actual Championship Game, somebody has to play against them.

Apparently I'm not the only one who has a high opinion of Boise State or they wouldn't be ranked #2 in all the major polls.

Originally posted by quackquackDon't bet on it; Boise St. is ahead of both by around 150 points in the Harris and Coaches' Polls and almost 300 in the AP. In fact, the Broncos are getting 20-25% of the first place votes. LSU or Auburn would have to win out to get ahead of an undefeated Bronco team.

Hell we beat OU last year and you couldn't shut up about it.
OU got lucky they held on for the win this year.
OU didn't beat Texas, Texas beat Texas.
Take you win, shut up, and we'll beat you next year.
If OU ever wins, OU got lucky. You are pathetic.
OU didn't beat Texas, Texas beat Texas? Sounds about like what any team can say. They didn't beat us, we beat ourselves. We didn't lose, we just ran out of time!
Texas lost. OU did what it usually does this year, gets a lead, then sits on it. The other team comes back and make the score close. Try looking at the score by quarter in the OU games against AF and Cinci. Heck, if you look at the 3rd and 4th quarters, the following teams have outscored OU:
Utah State, Air Force, Cinci and Texas.
Florida State played the second half close.
Pretty much every team OU has played has simply run out of time, but guess what, OU is undefeated. I'm not counting on beating Missouri since it is an away game and coming off a blow out, but we'll see.
