No, I was willing to admit that OU lost because they sucked. I have no problem with saying that OU hasn't been a good team and I have my doubts about this team. The only thing making this team look good is that they haven't played the handful of teams that are actually good. OSU gets to look good year in and year out due to this same problem in college football.
OU was able to represent the south so often because even though they lose to Texas, Texas hadn't been able to finish the season. They would lose to teams that OU beat. Last year Texas was able to beat the other teams and ended up in OU's position of having to actually play a good team in a bowl game and got beat accordingly.

Doesn't seem to equate to the blowouts OU suffered when they were in the similar situation, does it??

At least you are willing to admit that Texas lost.
Originally posted by EladarThere were only TWO teams in the entire country who qualified to play in that game.

Texas was one of them....and OU was not.
Texas did not embarrass the conference with their performance either.
Originally posted by shortcircuitI didn't say that they embarassed the conference. All I said was that they were going to lose. They got beat down early and Alabama took the foot of the pedal. It was a normal football game where the better team won.

You believed Texas was going to win that game. Your burt orange glasses led you to believe that Texas was more than it was.
As for teams being qualified for that game, there were a couple of others. But you burt orange glasses won't allow you to see reality. I'm really surprised that it was allowed you to admit that Texas lost. You've come a long way, perhaps there is hope for you.

I don't care if this is bad mojo for the game tonight. I just feel the need to post these scores:
Iowa State 28
Texas 21
last week's score:
Iowa State 0
Oklahoma 52
Both games were away games for Iowa State. Texas sucks.
No, I don't think that OU lost because of what I posted. I don't think that Texas lost because of what you posted.
The fact is that OU isn't a good road team. We even lost to Iowa State last year on the road.
As I said earlier in this thread, the Big XII sucks. Big XII teams just aren't that good this year. As I said earlier, I thought OU would lose that game and they did.

Granted, I realize that the NCG is out of reach now for my Bucks. After all, who does Boise State or TCU play to whom they can lose? My guess is if either team set foot in Madison they would get their arses kicked. I will say this, however, my Buckeyes would destory either Oklahoma or Texas. That is a no brainer.
My guess is that this is Auburns year. I suppose the teams in the SEC are taking turns winning NCG's. Hilarious!!
