It's now or never!

I still believe in a final score of Portugal 3 x 2 Spain.

We'll see...[/b]
Full time.

Portugal 0 x 1 Spain.

Offside goal, ridiculous red...but still the best team won. Maybe with another coach, a little bit of luck and another coach (not a typo) we might have nicked this one.

Well done Spain.

thank goodness Portugal are out. They got to the finals throu the 'back door' and it showed.

Boring boring team....ok they beat NK 7-0 but they have been rubbish in all their other games. The coach is rubbish- he failed at RM and now failing at national level.

CR7 had a rubbish tournament and all that cheating and diving he usuly does cought up with him as this time when he realy was fouled..he still did not get the decisions- justic served!

One positive note- Edwardo the GK was fantastic. One of the best keepers in the Tournament.

The red looks ridiculous on the closeup replays because you can't see anything, but if you look closely at the big zoomed out replay you can see Costa elbow Capdevila in the face, then jump for the header.

However, overall, I think this ref was slightly tilted towards Spain...

Who I am really hoping will emerge from South Africa with a big shiny trophy. 🙂

I'm not 100% sure it was a red, but something DEFINITELY happened.

Yes, he used his arm to gain a position as far as I can see. I see no hit at all. Maybe it's a bad angle.

Doesn't matter, though, Portugal didn't lose because of it.

It's hard to see Spain losing against Paraguay, but it's a possibility.

Very, very tight play. If linesman, well positioned, did not see Villa offside he probably wasn't. Indeed the better team won. Portugal played not to lose. Very strange tactics for a team bristling with talent. Ronaldo was a mere ghost on the field. Portugal thought it could pull a Swiss miracle. THat said, however, Portugal has nothing to hang their heads about. Tactics employed simply did not work and they were bested by the minimal margin and had bad luck against Casillas. Had Eduardo not had the game of his life perhaps the amrgin might have been larger. Eduardo kept them in the game.

i thought Portugal were awesome, the changes messed them up, Ronaldo, right left centre, hardly saw the ball second half. I really like the young left back, Fabio Coentrao, why he doesn't play left mid, i dunno, some of his touches were awesome, especially in conjunction with Ronaldo on the wing.
