The way Atri has cruised past the 2000 mark indicates he has even greater heights in mind. Is it possible he is aiming at 3000??? Or, as i now suspect, does he possess a mind that admits of no limits at all? Some have complained that his game load increases his chances of making poor moves, but look at his rating climb! Quantity AND quality!
Here's a theory: Atri can take on so many games because he is retired, i.e. on PERMANENT VACATION, and his vacation flag will never come down. Ok, I'm obviously being flippant but man! that vacation flag seems to have been up forever. He sure knows how to build suspense.
Atri may have 2000+ games in play - but he moves so slowly compared with some. He has 'only' made 4400 moves in 20 days this month. In comparison, Westside Mobster, the 'Most Active Player', is red-shifting away into the distance with 9000 moves. Assuming WM puts in ten-hour days, that's 45 moves/hour. Poor Atri drags along at half that rate. 😲

I am on daily, but quite often find I only have 10-20 games to move in at a time, even though I have in excess of 100 game on the go.

This thread only started 13 days ago. As we have 36 days available and assuming they started their holiday period then, they could hold out till the 13th June before skulls appear.

Not much to report today, except that Atri has passed 5000 moves for the month, which isn't too shabby. I'd personally be pretty happy if i could make 5000+ moves in three weeks and have a rating just shy of 1600.
Atri is a river to his people. The rating points he is expending so much time and effort to accumulate will shortly be distributed among his opponents as they collectively engage in a skull-crushing frenzy when his vacation flag comes down, as inevitably it must. He must know this. We can only conclude that this whole exercise is a sublime act of almost Christ-like self sacrifice.
Atri doesn't even takes the time to make conditional moves.
Look at Game 6180104.
He had only to mate in 1 move, but lost due to timeout
He seems to be desparate to get rid of some games.
Why else would he offer or accept a draw in Game 6152856
