Fixing your game history.

This old game Game 3122675 is now consistently reported as damaged by the "game history", "game log" and "get pgn" screens.

This isn't a problem to me, but I wonder what percentage of old games are reported as damaged? I checked the first page of "My archive" and found no other examples.

I'm sorry, I just don't get it. Firstly, I put in the wrong notation, then fixed it. Put in the correct notation being b8d7, the screen pops up on that move area with "game data missing". Below it are various FENs with "board state corrupt". I know this is the right move and the notation is correct.

What now?
Move 18, but you probably won't be able to see it on Game 4399484 but this is the FEN above it

Move makes sense to me. I figure you have made sure it is black's move. Are you sure you have put in ALL the correct moves that are missing? It will continue to show board state corrupt until they are all complete (and if there aren't any discrepencies).

There's only one place to insert a move which is 18 but I'll try with the white move 17.

I'm sure I'm missing something simple here but I'm trying to restore Game Game 4264242. Move 35 is the missing one and as you can see it is the pawn moving from d4 to d5. So, I sent to http://www.chessatwork.com/gameanalysis/gamefix.php?gameid=4264242 and sure enough there was a box for Move 35 and typed in "d4d5" and pressed the Restore Move 35 button.

A green dashed box popped up at the top saying "Move was restored". Excellent right?

Unfortunately the box remained to enter in Move 35 and all of the subsequent moves still showed "Note : Board state corrupt". I tried to see if the PGN or analyze board would work, but I still see the message of "This game has an incomplete game history and may not be reported correctly"

I tried to clean the move at http://www.redhotpawn.com/gameanalysis/gamefixclean.php?gameid=4264242 in case I messed up but it tells me "No restored moves exist"

I'm sure I'm missing something simple.

I'm getting the same thing, it claims move was restored, but there is no evidence to support that claim. And it begins again asking for the same move #.

I have old games (very pre corruption) AND new games (started yesterday) saying there is corrupt move history.

This really needs to be sorted.

There is a thread in Only Chess forum from two more people with current (new game) history problems. I've suggested they send feedback. If the problem has recurred the admins need to know how widespread the problem is.

I'm sorry, but is there an admin or someone willing to comment on how much longer this problem is going to exist? Games cannot be repaired currently, and it seems to have been ignored for the last 3 weeks.
