I think it was mentioned that flashing avatars would be disallowed. I hope that is still the case as the constant movement when studying a game can be very offputting as well as possibly giving headaches etc if you saw it for too long. I don't want to sound melodramatic but they certainly make me feel ill quite quickly.

If a player wants to promote to other than a queen, how is it done ?
There's a drop-down selection box showing the default (queen) which you click on if you want one of the other choices. It's now done BEFORE you submit the move, so it can't mangle the game the way the old system used to if the promoted piece wasn't selected.

Russ .... would it be possible to re-instate the game count on the game list ?
We used to have it.....
If it is showing somewhere and I have missed it let us know.
At present I have to go into my player profile to find out how many games I have in progress.
Needless to say...... a pain in the $%#@ !!
Click on Manage Folders and it gives you number of games in Inbox. Provided you do your housekeeping promptly it's the same number as games in progress, and only one quick click and back to My Games.

This is now back in. The intention was not to remove it during the update.

If you are using IE, just hit the escape key once the page has loaded to stop all animated images for that page (so, you will need to repeat until the ban is in place.)

I just offered a draw and in viewing my games, I can't tell that game apart
from the other games awaiting opponents move.
Old screen used to display "opponent's decision".
Bringing up the game doesn't help either.

Yes it is different.
When I offered a draw , I went back into the game and somwhere it said something like "a draw has been offered with your last move", but the opponents decision message was more helpful.

I don't see that anywhere......
I offered an opponent a draw.....
I see no trace whatsoever that I did so.
