Plausible deniability as a political tool has been used as long as politics has been around.
It is intended to keep the person at the top clear of the issue.

Unfortunately, the Donald with his personality disorder, just can't seem to stay clear of the issue.

That is what is keeping the "witch hunt" alive.

When is his next "campaign rally" ? 😀😀

Moreover, the question of whether or not he is the "next to go" simply is one of whether or not the Pres. ...[text shortened]... .

As there is an internal war happening among the GOP, that is not surprising or interesting.
The 'next to go' piece was not about Rump firing him, it is about a real effort starting up to IMPEACH Rosenstein, a totally different bit. There in fact is a bill starting up to do just that, doomed to fail from day one because the Rebubs need a 2/3 majority to bring it off and that ain't gonna happen EVER. THAT was what 'next to go' was all about.
At this point in time Trump has lost the bid to fire anyone, if he does, he will be hanging his sorry ass to dry on a stump.

The entire GOP leadership? You know that is not true.

Election meddling is her job? Is that why she was fired? You are being ridiculous.

She was fired shortly before the Democratic Convention as a means of placating the Bernie wing of the party and solidifying their acceptance of Hillary as the candidate. Bernie and others had complained about her favoritism towards Clinton long before then, but there were embarrassing revelations in the Russian hacked e-mails.

BTW, hacking people's e-mails is a crime, a Democratic politician supporting Candidate A rather than Candidate B is not.

You got me - perhaps not the entire GOP leadership, but only a few minor figures who are barely GOP members like the House Speaker and House Majority Leader.

That an investigation was started regarding Russian meddling in the election? You need further "proof" of that?

Election meddling is not her job. That is ridiculous.

DWS was a tool of Clinton. After she was resigned it is not surprising she went to work for Clinton's campaign. She was an obedient tool.

An illegal investigation was started because of alleged Trump/Russia collusion. Do keep your facts straight, just another weasel attempt.

I put election meddling in " " as you seem to be making no distinction between the "meddling" of supporting one candidate over another and the meddling of stealing stuff from a political campaign and then making it public to help a particular candidate win.

Here's some more interesting stuff from the indictment:

“On or about August 15, 2016, the Conspirators, posing as Guccifer 2.0, received a request for stolen documents from a candidate for U.S. Congress. The Conspirators responded using the Guccifer 2.0 persona and sent the candidate stolen documents related to the candidate's opponent.”

That candidate appears to have been Florida Republican Brian Mast.https://www.politico.com/states/florida/story/2018/07/13/florida-republicans-play-starring-roles-in-russia-hacking-indictment-510037

So a Republican's campaign was asking for stolen documents to help their campaign. Illegal much?
