We all know what the problem is.

- poverty
- individualism maxed out
- no functioning health or social services
So, kids (and adults) are locked in their own worlds, no way out, no professionals to pick up early warning signals; so nobody able to intervene and guns readily available.
Get a grip on reality.

I don't know why you keep going with the poverty argument.
There will always be poor people. Always has, Always will.
You would have to create a society without money to eliminate poverty and that is not possible.

BTW, there was a police officer at the school:
