You need to ask questions. Ask why AI is hacking. How does that help accomplish AI's task. Ask why nobody programmed AI to not hack. Ask if Sam Altman thought about programming ethics boundaries. Did any of them before going out of their way to scare people?

You completely ignored what I wrote and reality at large and went full whataboutism on me. Yet, just yesterday, we had the first (and certainly not the last) report of an autonomous agentic AI at OpenAI hacking into a foreign government unbeknownst to its programmers. If they didn't tell the AI to do that, but the AI did it anyway, should the company be held liable?
Also yesterday, we heard that there are tens of thousands of cases where these AI agents are attempting to hack into our own government, or hack into private companies, covertly talking to each other about plans, and doing things they are not asked nor programmed to do. Just earlier this month there were 6 reported cases, now there are tens of thousands? This probably just scratches the surface, given that the only information provided is from the companies themselves.

Regulation does no good unless you can regulate the entire world. So the regulation argument has been destroyed. AI cannot be banned for the same reason. So you have no solutions. You are just complaining without a real goal.
AI is not going to kill us all. But if I am wrong there is nothing we can do about it.
Before bringing up liability ask them "why" their AI is hacking. Ask them "why" they cannot program or tell the AI not to hack. Ask them "why" their AIs have no ethics protocols. You seem to live in your own little world where asking simple and reasonable questions is forbidden. This is why you keep arguing in circles. Until you ask basic questions you will not know what the real problem really is. And until you do you will find no real solution.
Anthropic is losing a lot of money. Are you aware of that?
