It’s certainly debatable but I guess we’ll have to see what we will see. After four years of iconoclasm who knows?

Hopefully, when Trump is no longer POTUS, he can be indicted by the State of Georgia and Department of Justice for his attempts to interfere with an election. Plus the Justice Department could maybe charge him with inciting a riot that led to the death of five individuals, including a police officer. All of this, along with the indictments coming out of New York State, must be causing Trump distress. I hope when he is indicted, his passport is immediately confiscated. He might race off to Moscow. Perhaps Putin would grant him sanctuary in exchange for top secrets. I do worry that there will be violence at the inauguration. I wish it would be moved inside.

You cannot impeach a private citizen, so why is Pelosi and all those other idiots trying to get republicans riled up with this talk that will never happen?

Is Pelosi trying to anger republicans so there is more violence as a result? That is what it seems like. Pelosi is inciting violence by pretending they can impeach Trump when they know it is impossible.

See how the corrupt minions work? While they condemn others for inciting violence and then they use it as an excuse to incite more violence. That way they have an excuse to suppress free speech and shoot down protestors even if they are not violent.

I think they're struggling with the issue of setting a proper precedent. Maybe impeachment isn't the answer but what should be the punishment for inciting an armed insurrection? Our Republic might be in trouble if the answer is 'nothing'.

He didn't incite an armed insurrection.

Do you repeat everything you hear on the news even if it is absurd? Saying it does not make it so. Do you eventually come to realize what you heard on the news is a lie, but then assume it was an honest mistake instead of propaganda?

How many lies are you going to repeat before you conclude the source of your info are liars?

"I think they're struggling with the issue of setting a proper precedent."

No, they are trying to create an improper precedent. When a democrat gets kicked out of office with disregard for the constitution will you think it is a proper precedent then?

Think! A precedent means it applies to all, even democrats. You are unwittingly screwing yourself over in the long term for a short term goal.

Maybe backtrack a bit. Did an insurrection occur?

You obviously can’t impeach someone who doesn’t hold office.

trump holds office and can be impeached.
If he’s impeached it goes to the Senate.
The senate decides to punish or not.

Now, in the US, the impeachment therefore does not equal punishment. So it is possible to punish someone who is impeached. And if he’s left office by time of punishment, there’s nothing to stop the punishment still being dealt.

There are, as far as I know, 2 punishments the Senate can dish out:
    - removal from office (which will obviously be pointless after trump has left office).
    - a ban from ever being in any office again (official government position).

This second one, technically, can be dealt after he’s left office, as long as the impeachment is before he leaves office.

Nobody repeats everything they hear on the media.

But, nobody repeats anything you say at all. Because you are Tea-party mad-as-a-hatter.

Irrelevant. You said incite an insurrection.

If Trump said things to incite an insurrection why didn't democrats tell us that before the Capitol building was overrun and prevent it from happening?

I'll tell you why. Because there was no indication that he called for any violence. He called for protests. You cannot hold him liable for not being psychic and knowing the protests would lead to violence.

He never called for violence and he certainly never called for an insurrection. You are like a parrot. You just repeat what you hear. Do you claim cows sleep standing up too? They don't.

If some idiot had the bright idea to go cow tipping and a cow horned you in the gut would you blame him for inciting violence? Maybe if you heard that repeated enough you would parrot that too?

He told us for weeks to ignore court rulings, set aside constitutional constraints, rise up against state-certified election results, and fight. Even if the insurrection did not occur, under federal law, that’s incitement of insurrection against the authority of the United States or its laws.

The media? Who cares? Here are inciteful quotes from the head horse:

“This Fake Election can no longer stand.."

"You don’t concede when there’s theft involved. Our country has had enough. We will not take it anymore.”

“Republican Party must finally learn to fight.... Big protest in D.C. on January 6th. Be there, will be wild!”

“If a Democrat Presidential Candidate had an Election Rigged & Stolen, the Democrat Senators would consider it an act of war, and fight to the death. Mitch & the Republicans do NOTHING, just want to let it pass. NO FIGHT!”

“They’re not taking this White House. We’re going to fight like hell.”

“Washington is being inundated with people who don’t want to see an election victory stolen by emboldened Radical Left Democrats. Our Country has had enough, they won’t take it anymore!”

“When you catch somebody in a fraud, you’re allowed to go by very different rules."

Certainly he's inciting something with these quotes. If not insurrection, what is he saying? Our laws and institutions are broken down and we need to fight. Insurrection, by definition.

The Senate has rules that don't allow impeachment to move that fast, kind of like the SCOTUS does too. Trump couldn't get a hearing from SCOTUS and democrats can't get an impeachment for about the same reason, rules.

Pence will not allege he is incompetent so it will not happen. They are trying hard though. The corporate news media is showing that clip of Trump supporters chanting hang Pence with repetition to try to change his mind.

No impeachement and no 25th amendment unless Pence changes his mind and risks a republican backlash that may hinder his political career.

Same thing the left said about him for 4 years. Irrelevant and a gross double standard.
