You didn't hear the whole speech. The news media didn't want you to hear the whole thing.

But now we have and it doesn’t make a blind bit of difference when swamped by everything else he said. Do you think it was a coincidence that had his stop the steal rally that day snd the told them to ‘March to the capitol bldg’ and ‘fight like hell’.
He’s as guilty as hell and I hope he eventually does some serious jail time.

I read the whole speech in the Washington Post, which is part of the "media".

You haven't.

Look. Your argument was: the democrats can’t impeach trump.

Technically true, of course, it’s the House that can or cannot impeach him.

You continued your argument as in: “he cannot be impeached.”

He was bloody impeached. You lost.
Suck it up. Admit you were wrong. Take the tinfoil hat off yer noggin.

There is noticeable silence from the White House on this. Not sure what that's about. Is it possible he's finally realized he stepped over the line?

Funny how impeachment is now a political tool. It reflects the corruption of those in power. You know, all those people who became millionaires while in office!

Is he still able to run in 2024?
He was already impeached before, doesn't mean much unless he is convicted. You need two thirds of the Senate for that and that seems unlikely.

Antifa and BLM were at the protest at the Capitol to start and escalate the violence.

All of this media attention will be on Trump even after Biden is POTUS. You seem to be helping him get the attention he craves. This will only increase his chances of a term in 2024 because he will be unforgettable. Keep it up!

No, you moron.
He is impeached. For a second time.
Whether the Senate votes punish him has no bearing on the fact that he’s impeached.

As I pointed out to you multiple times.

You and your source have proven to be wrong.

trump can ralley, chopper-talk and twitter.

At least two of the options aren’t within his immediate grasp right now.

He is still in office for about 5 days.
Doesn't mean much without a conviction, does it?

Here is an excerpt from the link below:

"Still, it remains unclear as to whether such a trial can even legally take place. The Constitution does not directly address the issue, and constitutional law experts are split."

https://www.foxnews.com/politics/can-senate-hold-impeachment-trial-after-presidents-term

Here is another:

"Dershowitz insisted that a Senate trial "will not happen" regardless of when the House votes to impeach Trump, claiming that Senate rules would prevent a trial from starting until 1 p.m. on Jan. 20, which would be one hour after Trump leaves office."

As you can see Dershowitz is claiming a senate trial will not happen. That is what he is claiming. We will see if there is a trial in the senate.

Care to make a bet on it?

A senate trial is seperate from impeachment.

See title of thread.

The YouTuber LegalEagle handled this well:

- It's extremely unlikely that Pres. Trump would be able to actually be convicted of criminal charges of inspiring a riot, the actual law. His political speech is protected and there's just no way that a sane court would create a new precedent of prosecuting people or vague speech.

-They can basically impeach people over saying stuff they do not like, as they did to Pres. Andrew Johnson.

So, sure, they can impeach him over this.

But SCOTUS would never uphold any of this "inciting a riot" business as a criminal charge that will stick and a new precedent.
