What about the sling? It was a firearm without the gunpowder.

Tell me when you first shot a gun. Who taught you about guns? What is your favorite gun? Which would appeal to you more, shooting a criminal breaking into your home or shooting an animal for food if you were starving?
First off, I pray I do have to shoot anyone, I would rather have to shoot an animal for food.

My first gun was a bb gun which I first shoot when I was 6. After that it was a .22 bolt action rifle my dad had gotten when I was 8. I don't know what kind it was, it was old and short but in good shape. We didn't do much shooting with it and all I remember is one time. He showed me how to hold it and to keep my finger off the trigger but that is all I remember. It was right before he got with my step mother and she really didn't like when he would do things like that with us.

When my husband and I got married, he only had a .22 savage rifle and would take me hunting with him. He was the one who really showed me how to shoot and taught me the safety rules.

My first time shooting a hand gun was in 06, it was a Taurus 24/7 9mm. We had just gotten back on our feet and my husband was able to get himself a handgun and his carry permit. I loved shooting it! We then started getting another handgun, a Taurus PT111, which is also a 9mm and my carry permit. The PT111 is the one I carry now.

The first time I shoot a shot gun was also with my husband. It was a 410 and didn't really have much of a kick. We then got a 20 gage, it kick alittle more and I love it. We now have two 12 gages and I sometimes crave shooting them. 😀 We keep buck shot in them for home defence.

We also have a 30-30 for dear hunting, just got it in March. And now my husband has just gotten himself an AR-15. I have not shot it yet but he has about 12 rounds(we had to leave the range due to rain). I can not wait to try it out.🙂

I would say my favorite is the 12 gage shot gun with buck shot, I have not tried shooting a slug yet, however, I am itching to do so. 😀

Your love of guns is something I can not understand- each to their own I guess.

I hope you keep them away from your childern. There was an incident a long time ago in my grannys neighbourhood where a boy shot his best freind, he found the gun under his dads pillow and thought it was a toy.

Give unto Caesar what it Caesar's doesn't sound like Communist talk, unless it's cynical Communist talk.

I guess a sling is OK since it is hard to make into a ploughshare.

You can edit when there are responses. I've done it before and the quote box has something different than the editted post. It's a timer that decides if you can edit.

We do teach them to be safe with them and not to go into owr room. However, we know that does not stop them for ever doing so. We keep them locked up except to ones we carry when we are carrying.

We are needing to get one of those bio-safes that read our finger prints to open it. We can program a few finger prints which would only be mine and my husbands. The bio-safe would make is faster to get to them if it is needed.

It must be over the time limit then. Thanks for letting me know. 🙂

Good to know you take that seriously. I never heard of these finger print safes, they sound great.

why do i have the feeling she will call you euro trash? the nerve of you suggesting hunting is inhumane. or that guns are dangerous no matter how many precautions you take.

in addition to what yo said i find it also disturbing. but since your parents bought you a gun when you were 6, i guess it is really not entirely your fault. sure, give a bb gun to a 6 year old maybe she will check the barrel and see if the bb is still in there and blind herself in the process. sure, give a bb gun to a child and let him shoot pigeons. there are plenty of them critters.

on a side note, and correct me if i missed something or added anything, considering you didn't throw away the old firearms, you own a hunting rifle, 2 handguns(the two bulls), 3 or four shotguns, a deer hunting rifle and one ar-15(hope it is not a bazooka).

are you ##%$#!& me? is this normal behaviour for a human being that lives in a country that is supposedly civilized? as a god fearing christian, what would you say to a homosexual who craves sex with another man when you crave to shoot shotguns.

of course, i as a euro who knows not what he is talking about(i think this is the expression no1marauder used to characterize europeans) have one opinion. and as yo said, i cannot understand yours
