It is estimated that approximately 60 percent of poor Americans are not covered by Medicaid, how do you explain that?

there are many failures in the current system, you can't just ignore them.

Actually, the fairness doctrine is an attempt to maintain and champion free speech in the media in the face of it being effectively restricted by the power of money and the stifling effect of lack of money.

nobody is saying you have to have the government running the whole industry. Im just saying that there should be an option for those at the bottom.
In Holland, those at the bottom are privately insured and simply get subsidies to help pay for insurance premiums. The option at the bottom does not have to be government-run.

So unpopular views should not be heard - or presentations of points of view that cannot make money in the commercial arena should not be heard? If, as I think you are, you are talking about "freedom of speech" - and how it is under attack from the 'fairness doctrine' - I would respectfully suggest that it is you who has no clue what you are talking about.

we are talking about the fairness doctrine.the liberals can say their view all they want but if nobody listens to them they dont get the ratings and there fore the show fails. conservative shows are successful because people tune in to hear it. when people stop tuning in they will fail.the fairness doctrine is an attempt to stifle free speech.you really need to wake up because you are sounding more foolish than usual today
