Lia Thomas does not play in the WNBA and is not eligible. She has never played and will never play professional basketball.

Moreover, there aren't any trans athletes in the WNBA. You've invented a controversy and pretended it's real and important for discussion.

I remember you quoting some Fox News report that a woman playing college volleyball got injured when a transgender woman opponent spiked a ball that hit her face.

I quoted links showing that:

A) Approximately 20,000 high school and women volleyball players are treated for injuries every year; https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC10333631/#:~:text=In%20total%2C%20a%20weighted%20estimate,of%2012.8%20per%20100%20at AND

B) That top college women players spike the ball at considerably higher speeds that what was reported in this incident.

By your "logic", it would be OK under Title IX to ban girls and women from volleyball competition to "protect" them or maybe not allow players to hit the ball toooooooooo hard.

I don't think the authors of the law would agree.

It goes without saying that you and marauder flower up every discussion by changing, not only the words but adding words and adding different concepts and different premises to an issue . That is a given.
So here you throw a post at me about professional sports when all I did was ask everyone is it OK for a man to compete with a woman, so , can you buy meanything beyond that statement means nothing to me in these debates because of the way you tear them to pieces and drift away

No, it would be unthinkable to start 'grading' athletes' abilities or stats for permission to compete. All I have suggested is but one proviso. Be a woman or a man or a boy or a girl, and go for it. You are saying my logic would be that in basketball, some players, man or woman, could be restricted because they are just to durn tall, and make it unfair for other players.

There are no different concepts and premises. What you propose isn't a thing that's done. Lia Thomas doesn't play basketball. No trans athletes play in the WNBA. The eligibility for specific sports (or changes in eligibility rules) are decided by the sports leagues, not you or I. You made up a controversy.

Lia swims, I obviously must have said bball along the way. We all know she swims, and that she did swim, and she kicked ass, stood six inches taller on the winners platform for her hard-fought trophy. Marauder amazed us months ago that it was acceptable. Then, he amazed me, AvJoe, by not denouncing the possibility that an 'organizaaaaaaation' might approve a boy to compete with his daughter. I know nothing about professional sports except for golf. I might watch the last game of the world series. therefor, I write not about pro sports. Dont care.

Neither of us watch the WNBA and neither of us know what the eligibility rules are. Why the frack would I have any comment beyond what is actually happening, to invent hypothetical and implausible scenarios and imagine what I would do if I were the commissioner of a league I don't care about?
