I don't think there's any real argument that what the WNBA intended was that any male could just declare themselves a woman and be eligible to play in the league. The rule obviously doesn't say that.

I do know children,...there is a move afoot to allow boys to compete with girls, (in sports, oh lord, I am ging to lose you again..............) and when working out that conundrum, the issue is not about 'sports'.
