Really!?

So how did I get "shot down" - as you put it?

Does it make sense to you that you need all that identification to work a part-time job, but no ID's to vote?

I was shut down, where...? how...? by some stupid democrat slug? I think *not*
While you're here, maybe you could explain how if right wingers get their way and eliminate birthright citizenship, how the heck will anyone be able to prove their citizenship in order to register to vote? A birth certificate will be useless for that purpose.

Because you ignored that the ID requirement for the shoveling jobs is mandated by Federal law and has nothing to do with Mamdani (Breitbart must not have mentioned that).
Whether you realize it or not, we are trying to catch up to the civilized world and mandate that ID's
be required to vote in federal elections, too.

are you going dim on me here, bud?

84% of the voters want Voter ID.

But the democrats in RHP consistently do not want it.

Hmmmm....

Whatever happened to "American Exceptionalism"?

What you are trying to do is limit the number of citizen voters esp. those in groups that tend to vote Democratic.

You just won't admit it.

You keep quoting that figure but ignoring:

A) 36 States already have it. People in those States aren't very likely to oppose it NOW;

B) You've produced no evidence that people in the other 14 States desire changes in their election laws that would mandate Photo ID over presently existing measures to verify ID in those States. You said the lack of any political movement to do so in those States was "irrelevant";

C) You've disingenuously suggested that support for Photo ID = support for the SAVE Act which would override even those State laws that require Photo ID and replace them with more stringent and onerous requirements to register and vote.

So cut the BS.

I guess that's an admission that the two positions are contradictory and logically incoherent.

Not to worry; most current right wing ideology is both as shown by your arguments here.

Not true.

What you won't admit is that without voter id, some major league cheating will occur.

And yes, they will vote democrat, which is why you dems cling precariously to "No ID's"

Present evidence that any "major league cheating" has occurred that voter ID would solve.

You and others here have been asked to do so numerous times.

Why else would the SAVE Act have something so obviously stupid and a pain in the ass as having someone have to go first to the DMV and then to the elections office with a birth certificate to change their address?

this is a curveball...?

I am well aware of the 36 states. it matters not.

And you say - "You've produced no evidence that people...."
Hey, let's not move the goalposts here. The people have spoken. The rest is superfluous bullship.

why of why would the democrats want to short democracy? hmmm...

Meanwhile, you're a democrat turning your back on the vast majority of people.

So I have to present evidence of something unrelated now or you win??

you're not going to win an argument by moving the goalposts.

"Unrelated"? You just said:

EOT: What you won't admit is that without voter id, some major league cheating will occur.

Asking for some evidence of "major league cheating" seems quite "related".

You have a funny definition of "vast majority".

Are you saying that there is a federal law that mandates what NYC is doing for snow shovelers? I do not get the meaning of your post.
I say that there is not, that this is a city matter. The deal at hand is the city requiriing adminstrative registration for a CITY job. It is not some nationwide legal law or rule. Requiring the 5 forms, by the city, is p ...[text shortened]... all questions. Do you know Sue has never asked me a straight up honest question. I keep asking!!!
Why would I ask you a question?

You don't know anything.
