@liljo saidWell your a right winger and so you lie for fun, why are you pretending that you need normal people to join in for you to have this fun.
Hey, I know! We should do a thread about the...(clears throat)...VICTIMS of this heinous shooting!
You know, where we "right wingers" could point out all the criminal history of the...VICTIMS...and you "left wingers" could defend the pedophiles and otherwise sex-offenders and battery committers and domestic abusers!
What fun we could have!
@sleepyguy saidThe jurors where from Kenosha they were team Rittenhouse from day one on account of he shot the noisy folks. The trial should never have been held there.
Cops were called because domestic abuser Jacob Blake was doing what domestic abusers do. Cops show up and he fights with cops and gets shot by cops as he tries to climb into a vehicle full of kids with a knife. The cops are white and Jacob Blake isn't so, you know, several nights of rioting, looting, and burning ensue and the cops and other leaders in the city, cowed by the ...[text shortened]... on, but luckily the jurors believed their own eyes instead of the lies of the media and prosecutors.
@kevcvs57 saidwow...its hard to believe people dont like getting their cities burned...I guess the trial should have been held in a Republican controlled city huh?

@sh76 saidRight. It's that "didn't do the smart thing..." which many prominent so-called conservatives disagree with. Lots of folks are calling him a hero. Offering him jobs.
I'll agree he didn't do the smart thing by being there in the first place. But once there, I can't see what other choice he had but to do what he did (assuming he wanted to live).
Lots of folks who probably don't own guns or have ever been in a dangerous situation are saying what he did was noble.
Private citizens making dumb decisions with their lives that causes violence is not a conservative principle. That's anarchy.

He shot the three people that attacked him.
All of whom had long criminal records.
Like the one that raped little boys and did 15 years in prison.
@wildgrass saiddumb decisions?
Right. It's that "didn't do the smart thing..." which many prominent so-called conservatives disagree with. Lots of folks are calling him a hero. Offering him jobs.

like de-fund the police? like ordering the police to stand down and let rioters destroy your livelihood? like allowing soros to fund these criminal felons to destroy our country?
@wildgrass saidI don't like that people are calling him a hero. He's not a hero. He's a regular kid/young man who showed poor judgment in putting himself in a tough situation, but for which he had every right to do (possibly carrying the gun was illegal, but the statute contradicted itself on that).

He had no choice but to shoot in self-defense and for that he was correctly exonerated. But he and others should learn from the situation and exercise better judgment in the future.
FWIW, I fully expect that Rittenhouse himself won't be showing up to protests with an AR-15 in the future.
@mott-the-hoople saidOf course, other dumb decisions besides what we're talking about also exist. That's just not what we're discussing in this thread.

@wildgrass saidShootings took place on the third night of rioting, after many businesses had already been destroyed, by which time it was clear local authorities were either unable or unwilling to deal with it. THAT is what caused anarchy, not the kid and others who decided to stand between the rioters and businesses.

@sh76 saidThen why are conservatives calling him a hero? A responsible gun owner does not put themselves in a position like that.

@sleepyguy saidGotta wonder why the libtards can watch this and condemn Rittenhouse:

@sleepyguy saidRittenhouse's strategy was less effective.

@wildgrass saidNot the point. You don't get to lay the blame for anarchy on the people who were trying to do something about the anarchy.
Rittenhouse's strategy was less effective.
@sleepyguy saidYes of course you do. If you're trying to help in a bad situation but you escalate violence, you still made a dumb decision because you made things worse. This is what responsible gun owners are taught before they hold a gun.
