@wildgrass saidI am saying that you and your friends get hung up wanting to talk about things that have already happened and why they happened. The school gets bombed. Iran gets eradicated. It goes with a territory, but instead of writing about Iran, getting eradicated, you want to talk about collateral damage. And yes, I know you hate that word, but it’s going to happen when a president embarks on a movement such as this, to free the world of ballistic missiles in the hands of the wrong people.
Stuff that already happened are not worth debating?
Let’s see… We can discuss unfortunate deaths of bombs in a raid, or we can discuss the freeing the world of a ballistic missiles.
Maybe now you know what I’m talking about.
Geez. Pick pick pick
@AverageJoe1 saidUS taxpayers are owed explanations for decisions about pre-emptive wars of choice that costs billions and take human lives.
Can you fellows not open your mind to realize that everything changes every day, and presidents and the advisors have to wake up every day and readjust and realign, replay
and resttstrgize everything in a world that 24 hours ago was entirely different.
Are you telling us that you fellas feel like you could have decided a week ago exactly how everything was gonna ...[text shortened]... tter who the president is. It is difficult for you to open your mind when you despise the president.
So far we've heard everything from "eliminating the regime" to "degrade nuclear capabilities" to "cut off oil supply to China" to "Israel told us to do it."
Of course we have no idea. But they have no idea what's going on either. You tie yourself into pretzels trying to rationalize why in the absence of any coherent message, ignoring decades of past administrations failings in the region.
This is a wasteful, hopeless disaster.
@wildgrass saidWell hundreds of new terrorists will die.
Accidents happen in bombings and war, and preventing such accidents requires not using bombs or war as a tool to prevent misery and suffering, since it creates it.
The bombing of that school created hundreds of new terrorists, at the very least are the parents and family of the kids who senselessly died.
In a war bombs and guns and bullets is necessary to kill evil people. Unfortunately some innocent people die as well.. no big deal. It is more important to kill the evil people.
Nobody is sure whose bomb that was. Just like in Gaza, the military makes use of schools to house military hardware. Plus these schools are training camps for terrorists. Here is one report of many about this :
As someone who lived under a religious dictatorship until I was 26, I know damn well that schools in Iran were never really about education. They were basically centers for spreading extremist ideology and forcing religious rules down our throats. In the freezing winter mornings, we were made to show up early and spend half an hour reciting the Quran and chanting “Death to Israel, America, and England” just to be allowed into class. The classroom itself felt more like a brainwashing center than a place to actually learn. And please, don’t worry about us Iranians. We’d rather die than let the Islamic Republic keep ruling over us.
@wildgrass saidUnder the Biden [and other prior] administration did you get explanations for decisions about wars ?

I would be interested in seeing the link to the one where they said:
Israel told us to do it.
What exactly is the disaster so far?

In my humble opinion, NOT bombing and killing a whole school full of young children would have been a better idea. Bombing kids schools is evil.

“We knew that there was going to be an Israeli action,” Rubio explained. “We knew that that would precipitate an attack against American forces, and we knew that if we didn’t pre-emptively go after them before they launched those attacks, we would suffer higher casualties.”
@wildgrass saidBoko Haram probably approve of bombing schools for Muslim girls.

@wildgrass saidHopeless would be to have the populace weigh in on the pros and cons. This isn't meant to be sarcastic , but face it, if Trump said that he has something 'that he can do which will end cancer', there is at least one among you who would stand up in the room and say "No Way, he is the devil!!!!"" such as sonhouse. So, naaaa, and, your idea to 'get explanations..""....what in the world would be gained from that? And just how would it be presented by the president? A vote, maybe? A poll 😆 .? All the while as Iran looked on for the results!!

If Suzianne asked, will there be collateral damage, she would vote it down just for that one reason............and the ballistic missiles would be in full production.
Don't get your pollyanna post. Trump and his sec of state have stated very clearly, public and at news conferences, (Rubio just yesterday taking questions) that there is one reason for this attack. One. To achieve objective of no ballistic missiles.. They SAID that. So you are disingenuous suggestign that you hear all kinds of reasons, as you state. There Is Only One Reason!!!! Explained, for god sake.
@wildgrass saidThere is a bigger evil going on in the world, which is created by Islam, communism and socialism.

@Rajk999 saidLike sweeping the floor in a dirt hut.
There is a bigger evil going on in the world, which is created by Islam, communism and socialism.
... and we all know the only way to fight evil is by pouring more evil on top of it, hopefully the evil smothers evil and then, finally, good can prevail. But only after we clean up the rest of this evil, but we'll need some evil for that too.
@AverageJoe1 saidPros and cons of what? We don't even hear the same answer from the same person in a 24 hour period over the reason for the war.

If Trump said he has something "that he can do which will end cancer" I presume you would expect a group of skeptics who would want to know the details. You know, we've been working it for a while what's your plan?
Oh, what's that? No plan? Or the same plan we've been trying for the past 100 years? Just remove the tumor and hope something good happens?
@AverageJoe1 saidA) There was a treaty in force negotiated when Obama was in office. It was functioning, it was verifiable. Trump45 shredded it--simply because he wanted to erase Obama's legacy--and replaced it with ... nothing.
But it has not been shown that Trump is trying to rule anything. He is trying to stop the development of ballistic missiles.
Who told you that?
B) Trump47 launched a bunker bomb and "totally obliterated" Iran's nuclear weapons capability and set Iran back "ten years." He lied then. He's lying now.
C) He keeps changing his story, because has no plan: says he wants regime change, or, at any rate, his mouthpieces were saying that and he did not dispute it. Then he says, in tonight's news, that someone from within the regime may be the best person take the reins of power. He flipflops--because he has no plan, not even "a concept of plan." He simply staggers from one self-made crisis to the next, and makes up ad hoc excuses as he goes.
He thinks he can dictate to Iran to change their form of govt., he thinks that by assassinating a head of state, the people of Iran are going to rise up and implement democracy. Ain't gonna happen. The Mullahs will simply choose another Mullah to be the next Supreme leader and the crackdown will get harsher.
He declared himself acting head of state of Venezuela--did you miss that one? What a clown--it's treason for a U.S. president to be in the service of another state.
@no1marauder saidInteresting reference. Although, if I were to send an emissary to Iran to 'civilize the savages', Donald Trump is not the one who immediately springs to mind as the most qualified person in the world to do it.
A modern version of Kipling's "White Man's Burden".
😆
