@sonhouse saidYou wantt me to look up tariff in the dictionary and paste it? You are kidding, I hope. You just like to type, which is quite obvious.
@AverageJoe1
A tool in this case., That tells me NOTHING about what YOU think a tariff is, and who pays.
@AverageJoe1
No, I want YOU to tell me what YOU think Tariffs are and who pays for them IN YOUR OWN WORDS, not some Bratfart or faux News or other ultrarightwingnut outfits. Try explaining it in YOUR OWN WORDS.
@sonhouse saidSee no point. Don't get why you would want what I think. You may as well ask what I think about Trump, or Kamala. I am late for golf!!
@AverageJoe1

@AverageJoe1
The POINT being you don't know JACK about Tariffs. You don't know who actually pays, you don't know why it is not a tax on foreign companies, in other words, you are fuuking CLUELESS.
@sonhouse saidI am clueless about Tarriffs. I don’t even know how to spell it. That out-of-the-way, can you write about something else. After the Georgia Florida game.
@AverageJoe1

You could be crafting a post which explains to us where we are required by law to buy things from companies that have tariffs fixed. I thought we had freedom to purchase what we want from whom we purchased it from.
@AverageJoe1
Of course if foreign goods you want are ALL made overseas, like TV's where you going to get one made here?
I happen to think Japanese cars are more reliable than US made ones, like Toyota. If I get a new on it will be a Toyota.
So good luck getting bananas made in the US or Avocados.
You don't know anything about tariffs and you claim to have TAUGHT economics?
When Trump does a tariff on foreign goods THEY don't pay a PENNY, WE pay the tax and it IS a tax, an up front tax like when I lived in Israel they had the VAT tax, Value Added Tax.
Paid by the consumers, EXACTLY like tariffs, except it is the company middlemen paying the tax and you can bet your ass they will add that 20% or maybe even 30% to the price, so like I said, Grainger buys a Sony widget for 100 bucks and they add 30% profit and sell it for 130 bucks before tariffs.
So they add at least 20% so minimum the new price goes to 156 bucks.
Now if you were not just BSing and actually taught economics that should not be that hard to see. That is EXACTLY how it would play out.
@sonhouse saidYou got me. I know about tariffs. But you see, we all know what one is, what we do not know enough to discuss is the Mindset Of Donald Trump!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@AverageJoe1

Imagine a tariff as a tool in the toolbox of Trump, and you might get it. He will use it to kick ass.
@sonhouse saidBut they are not all made overseas, everything is made everywhere. I do not understand what you say. There is nothing I have to have that is only made overseas unless you speak of french wine where the grapes are grown only there. I do not think you make any point at all about that.
@AverageJoe1

@TheListener
NOBODY is going to go, ok, I have to pay 20% more for this gadget, so I will make a diligent search of American made options,
Good luck getting folks to do that. Most of the stuff we want are NOT made in the US anyway,
@AverageJoe1
Right, kicking ass. The only ass being kicked would be OUR asses, to the tune of about 4000 dollars a year in added taxes, he likes to call tariff.
So why did you type I don't know about tariffs a few days ago but now you know tariffs? Could it be we can't trust what you say or what you won't say day by day?
Like the time when you said you would not vote for Trump if he was convicted of a crime but now you move the goalpost, 'Well, those were just VICTIMLESS crimes.
And then I point to Trump's fraud cases about Trump Uni and Trump charity and THOSE were 'victimless' because they got 80% of what was stolen from them yet you still call that victimless.
I bet if YOU lost 10,000 bucks and 4 years of litigation later you get EIGHT thou back you would not be considering YOURSELF the result of victimless crimes but you stick with your pathetic two faced story, you will vote for your god Trump even if he literally shoots someone in M S G.
I think the operative word here is HYPOCRITE.
@sonhouse saidNo, if I take a risk, as I have described above, I would hardly go looking for someone to blame for the loss I incur. You are really off the mark here. You are wrong, in other words. You simply prove for me as I often say that libs do not understand the nature of risk, probably because their dependent nature gives them comfort that someone will pick them up.
@AverageJoe1

You misrepresent my comment about tariffs. Bottom line, is that I felt no need to talk about tariffs, as I have said before (we all know what a tariff is, Sonhouse) that it is in practice of negotiations a tool. So we would have to know how Trump uses it to be able to talk about it. You are the only one here who knows exactly like Trump thinks, so you would have us at a disadvantage.
Now Kamala is another matter. Since she knows nothing about negotiation, in the field of Tariffs , or any global field for that matter, that would be a gas to talk about!
As to any Trump voting comments...If a court of law said that he would be allowed to be president from confinement, I would have no alternative but to vote for him in lieu of Kamala. A no-brainer.
@AverageJoe1
Right, like it worked out SO well the last time he pulled the trade war switch.
Trump is TOTALLY incompetent to be running ANYTHING, he couldn't even keep a fuuking CASINO in the black because of his incompetence in his own businesses, some half dozen bankruptcies shows that clear as a bell, and BTW, do go 'ALL businessmen have bankruptcies.
Donald SPECIALIZES in them because he can't run a fuuking company much less the entire US.
@sonhouse saidAmazing. You write, just above about, taxes, Trump, victimless crimes, bankruptcies, etc, but not a word about tariff, which we are writing about. Ohhhhhhh Sonhouse.
@AverageJoe1

Hey, start a thread on Obama saying Trump is not masculine, but when he said it, he forgot to say with the exception of Trump's reaction when he was shot. Obama was bragging on a news clip, today, about how girls would grab his butt, suggesting being president drew the women.
What is wrong with you people, as that guy Suzianne says all time. He said, I swear, look it up, that they would grab his butt.
Ohhhhh Sonhouse
@AverageJoe1
OF COURSE you don't want to discuss the failings, the utter incompetence of Trump, what a shocker.
@sonhouse saidSomething in the past? No, I guess I don't. Can you imagiine for example, talking about that ruckus on Jan 6? I would blow my brains out.
@AverageJoe1
OF COURSE you don't want to discuss the failings, the utter incompetence of Trump, what a shocker.
