Just a philosophical question. What if everyone, Shaizimir, everyone , didn't care about the concept of immigration. That, it and all of its accoutrements, ceased to exist in the world. Everyone in the world ditch their passports, their IDs, their everything which might identify them, as it would be no one's business. You are riding on a bus in Tunisia or Nova Scotia, sitting next to Saddam Hussein, or, the leader of Hamas.

It has nothing to do with carrying or not carrying an ID. I personally think the passport is a quaint, antiquated concept, but nostalgically important, much like a clock that ticks and tocks.

Passports are going to be extinguished within 10 years. Facial recognition software is far more effective and better for the flow at airports.
Borders are financial constructs, built to make sure the rich land owners remain rich, and to categorise when a king is within or without his boundaries. They have no actual relevance to reality.
