I wouldn’t. But they are welcome in my country.
Shav does not care what goes on 'in the country', but keep what goes on in the country away from him. Don't let them get too close.
So, a NYC citizen wants the hordes not in their city, but rather in someone else's city.
Typical lib. The fancy folks in Martha's Vineyard said the same things, something like 'get them the hell out of here'.
Shavixmir is a Martha's Vineyarder!!!!!! Uggh

All of you cannot even make sense anymore. This one of Shav is classic. Is he showing selfishness? Just asking.

I don’t care about immigrants in my country.
Much the same way as I don’t care about the Dutch being in the Netherlands.

And that is different than wanting anyone in my bloody kitchen. That you can’t seem to tell the difference is brainwashed crap on another level.

Shav confirms he does not care about immigrants (coming into a country, breaking laws, illegal). I wonder if he puts a cap on how many?
He could just say I don't care how many. From Shav, we would get it.

What about Nancy's portfolio? She's beating Warren at his own game. She's a top ranking politician AND a stock wizard?
I'm doubting that.

Why do you believe everything you hear about people you hate?

I do care about people breaking laws.
Laws which protect people. Idiotic fantasies about border controls, I let pass.

And I put no cap on anyone moving about.

And...now you believe that article.

Media not in the "mainstream" doesn't bother with fact-checking. And if they are biased (which is usually why they exist in the first place), they're not telling you that either. This is the @Metal-Brain effect. "They must be true, because they're not mainstream."

You're still just believing anything you hear which is even tangentially related to something you already believe. Trump's minions only believe what they already want to hear. And you can bet he knows that. He's a professional con man. That's how he made his living in New York before he came down that escalator. And that's also why everyone in New York hates him. He cons people. It's what he does. It's who he is.

Just a philosophical question. What if everyone, Shaizimir, everyone , didn't care about the concept of immigration. That, it and all of its accoutrements, ceased to exist in the world. Everyone in the world ditch their passports, their IDs, their everything which might identify them, as it would be no one's business. You are riding on a bus in Tunisia or Nova Scotia, sitting next to Saddam Hussein, or, the leader of Hamas.

Oh. You'd left that out, that's OK. So you must care about people who raise their children properly, and Not care about people who drive on the wrong side of the road. I am putting all this in my journal, is there anything else about you that we need to know? Like, the Harris campaign is GIVING MONEY to the defund police movement. I don't agree, my kids walk on the sidewalk to play hopscotch. So is this something that is something you care about, or something you don't care about?

You all are really coming apart.

This thread has predictably denigrated into utter rubbish and nonsense, as any thread which has AJ making multiple posts in invariably does. But let me add a few points to the relevant discussion on the first page or so.

First, the idea tossed around by AJ and other posters that the US government could simply round up people and toss them aboard a bus or train or plane and simply send them off to another country (which would willingly acquiesce to such a clear violation of international law) is too ridiculous for words, Deportation is a legal process governed by laws and procedures required by those laws. Specifically, any undocumented immigrant seized is entitled a hearing - the wait time for which was 4 and a half years when Trump left office. https://trac.syr.edu/immigration/reports/637/ And that was with about 1.3 million cases to adjudicate, not the over ten million Trump's insane rhetoric supposes.

Since there's endless bitching about "catch and release" by right wingers (though the Feds have few facilities to house present immigrants facing deportation, never mind 10 million more), you'd assume that they'd insist all those awaiting such hearings would have to be detained, Thus, Harris' comment saying that Trump would have internment camps is correct, but grossly understates the reality that would exist if such a plan was put into effect. He would have to create a gulag dwarfing in size anything the most repressive Soviet regime ever made (the prison camp population in the USSR was a mere 1.5 million in 1940 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gulag).

Finally, unauthorized immigrants make up about 5% of the US workforce. https://www.pewresearch.org/short-reads/2024/07/22/what-we-know-about-unauthorized-immigrants-living-in-the-us/

That's about 8.3 million workers. Taking them out of the workforce in a time when the US has a chronic labor shortage would reduce GDP by about $1 trillion a year. This is economic suicide.

The best solution would be to find a way to make those of these people who are working here and raising their families, the vast majority, citizens ASAP. This won't please white nationalists like Trump (who had no problem employing undocumented immigrants https://www.vanityfair.com/news/2019/08/trump-organization-undocumented-workers https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/how-two-undocumented-housekeepers-took-on-the-president--and-revealed-trumps-long-term-reliance-on-illegal-immigrants/2019/12/04/3dff5b5c-0a15-11ea-bd9d-c628fd48b3a0_story.html) but it would in line with supposed American ideals like justice and opportunity for all.

I have recently said that it will not be likely that he can ;round them up' and send them the hell back I dont know his thinking (like Shouse does!) but he could appoint a board to look into it. I think, if I may, that he is going to close the border, and let them stay in some fashion, but alert law enforcement to watch them closely and grab any and all of them that break our laws, and, send those back. Oh, you speak of 'hearings'. No, no hearings. You see, their rights are not same as ours. Dont bother with your Natural Rights diatribes. They will play by our rules. Snd frankly, you are the only person who preaches it, to the wind.
You think McHill will get Natural Rights?

Your 2nd para is moot, there will be no 'camps'. Let's bet.

Next para is we need them for workforce. Then my idea just above to keep them here is probably a good idea. Close the border for 5 years until we balance out, with those already here, the equity of letting in the proper number.. That is the answer, and will satisfy all of your concerns in your post.

Your last para is about what I just wrote. Common sense. Congratulations, I had not read that before I started writing.

@Parasite
RIght, a Canuke telling us it was better under Trump.
Like personally giving Putin covid test kits when there were near zero to be had by US citizens, or 'ingest disinfectant, kills covid in minutes'
or fuuking a porn star while his wife was having his baby, BESIDES all the BS about his hiding the payments to Stormy.

Or fuuking students out of their hard earned money for a bogus university shut down by the government proven in court his Trump university was a fraud.
That and a hundred other things that any ONE of 30 or 40 years ago would have INSTANTLY shoved him out of the race for ANYTHING, county dog catcher, congressman, senator, governor, or POTUS but now that is the new normal, no big deal, Poor misunderstood Trump is for ALL people.

Right, like his trillion dollar tax bribe to big corps where they were supposed to use the windfall to build manufacturing plants here in the US but instead used the windfall to do stock buybacks to make their bottom line better.
It was BIDEN who got a REAL chips bill passed, BILLIONS for rebuilding our chips manufacturing here in the US, Trump never even THOUGHT about doing that.
Or the hurricane in Puerto Rico, where he threw paper towels at the crowd, thinking he was really helping those poor folks who just lost there electricity, their homes, their lives and all he could do was a photo op throwing paper towels?
And you think someone like that will make a good POTUS.

Sad, really and if he wins we will really see the end of democracy in the US which is, has been, will be his agenda helped by a cadre of sycophants, where last time the craziness he showed was toned down by his cabinet and other people like chief of staff and his generals to stop his craziest ideas.
Now there will be no such hold on him since he will make sure there is nobody around to stop his now even MORE crazy ideas.

So good luck with all that if he wins.
Personally I don't want to see the result of another Trump presidency, which may be the last one held in the US, going the way of Putin or Hitler.

And OF COURSE you all would say that CAN'T happen here, but guess what, with crazies around him, total sycophants who will do whatever he wants with no restraints, that is EXACTLY how democracies around the world have ALREADY ended.

Take the EU.
Since the removal of border controls, there has not been a spike in crime (rape, murder, breaking and entering). Some 20 odd years!

Now they’re putting back some border controls (to catch aliens… as if they can’t just use their space ships or something) to suit the extreme right. And there’s not been a dip in crime.

Whether the controls are in place or not, people move or get moved (this last one is a serious problem which does need tackling, but it’s a problem which needs to be fixed at the root) but the general safety of a country isn’t influenced.
