We do have a free market, but governmental decisions are made as to how many aliens we let into our country. I think you would agree with that. Note what happens when there is no such restriction, as Biden let millions of people come into this country that have caused havoc.
So we agree there should be a measure of order in the number of people that come into this country. That being said, tomato growers might have lobbyists go and talk to that very government about how many people they would like to have to hire, and that’s how they will arrive at how many millions to let in.

Why did they come? Because there is a demand for their services. The free-market works. But pretending there is no demand for their labour is your inability to treat them justly.
