@Mott-The-Hoople saidThere’s many points and one insult…
Pretty much the answer I expected.
you libs are nothing more than crude insults
@Mott-The-Hoople saidAre you suggesting you want to have sex with my dead mother?
I wont degrade your mom and sister
Or with my sister? Her husband is special forces, I’m sure she and he will be appreciative of your comments.
Fvcking moron.
@wildgrass saidShady contractor? You libs fo all over the place. I guess doctors getting money to pay for illegal alien med care could be shady too. Geez. I guess you could taint ever post with '''', yeah but what if a person is a criminal....'
In the context of my initial comment, which you called a lie, it doesn't matter where the money is going. Take the tax money out of PBS and give the same amount to a shady "military contractor", the size of government remains the same.
If you increase expenditures coming from government to wherever, as trump has obviously done, then you are increasing the size of government.
zzzz
But in any event,,,,,,Absolutelly, take the money from PBS (there are 1000s of media for us all, for free...) and give it to military, rimburse them for cleaning up big-time crime in DC. I guess. you will deny that success, too. If you had it to do over, you would NOT send them into DC to stop murders. Everyone, WGrass would not send military into DC, he would use the money to give $1000 to each citizen.
Do you see how foolish your thinking is? Yes, in the big picture, you want to reduce military funding and you want to give $1000 to each citizen. Let's rumble.
@Suzianne saidSuzianne, why don't you take on the project of debunking this common sense.
Demolishing USAID, for one. De-funding SNAP is another.
Wouldn't be quite so bad on a philosophical level if white families suffered as much as minority families.
What about spending 99% of their time kneeling at Trump's feet?
Now that is a GREAT reason for firing Trump's entire Cabinet.
Recent actions taken by the Trump administration to dismantle the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) and drastically cut foreign aid have intensified arguments for defunding the agency. The arguments raised by proponents of defunding center on accusations of waste, fraud, and abuse; the promotion of agendas seen as antithetical to American values; and questions about the overall effectiveness of traditional foreign aid.
Arguments for defunding USAID
Allegations of waste and corruption
A key argument for defunding is that USAID has been plagued by waste and mismanagement.
Recent bribery scandal: A June 2025 Justice Department investigation found that a USAID official and three corporate executives pleaded guilty in a bribery scheme involving more than $550 million in federal contracts.
Misuse of funds: The White House has highlighted alleged instances of wasteful spending, such as millions of dollars for tourism in Egypt, DEI initiatives in Serbia, and cultural programs like a "transgender opera" in Colombia.
Promotion of "woke" and "anti-American" ideals
The Trump administration has justified cuts by claiming that USAID has funded programs promoting ideologies that do not align with its priorities.
"Woke" activities: The Office of Management and Budget (OMB) pointed to "woke activities like gender and climate programming," which it said diverged from the agency's targeted goals.
Regime change and political interference: Critics, including those on the political left, have noted USAID's historical use as a tool of U.S. foreign policy to influence or destabilize foreign governments. Some have accused the agency of promoting regime change and funding propaganda efforts abroad, such as the creation of a "Cuban Twitter".
Ineffectiveness of traditional foreign aid
For decades, critics from institutions like the Cato Institute have argued that government-to-government aid is fundamentally flawed.
Weak accountability: Many argue that aid money is often funneled through unaccountable contractors and NGOs, with little oversight on whether the money actually benefits those in need.
Lack of correlation with growth: Some analysts contend there is no consistent evidence showing that foreign aid directly leads to economic growth in recipient countries.
Market distortion: Examples like USAID flooding Haiti with free rice, which undercut local farmers, are cited to show how aid can create unhealthy dependencies and damage local economies.
Shifting focus to "America First"
The "America First" perspective suggests foreign aid is not a priority and that funding should be directed toward domestic issues. This argument asserts that American taxpayer dollars should not be used for foreign assistance when there are perceived needs at home.
@Suzianne saidIs it reasonable for the govt to take $1000 from me and give it to a loser in Utah? And is that a 'Rob Peter to Pay Paul' premise?? Would loser in Utah also have to have his taxes be used to send me $1000 in Virginia??
Why not?
It's all we got left when you fools won't listen to reason.
Sue?
@AverageJoe1 saidYou called me a liar and now you're trying to weasel out of apologizing by declaring your disdain for healthcare and public radio?

No,.of course don't send the military to DC! That has been a colossal waste of money. Have you seen what they're up to there? Sweeping the streets and picking up trash at the hourly rate of $100 per soldier, courtesy of your tax payments.
What a great example of the absurdly expensive government that Trump's created.
@AverageJoe1 saidI 100% agree little joe boy. The federal Government should have never payed for Charlie Kirks funeral out of our hard earned tax dollars; Especially for a lying hate-monger pos like him.

Let's hand every police force in every city a billion dollars, courtesy of your tax dollars, and put 5 armed soldiers at every street corner.
The cost is unacceptable.
