@wildgrass saidThat'd be a separate thread. Problem is, we would all have to be qualified to discuss such funding and the ins and outs. Imagine that with, ahem. a few folks on his forum. Open the thread with a direct question to Sonhouse!!!!
Anyone can stop crime with some combination of money, force and restrictions on movement.
Let's hand every police force in every city a billion dollars, courtesy of your tax dollars, and put 5 armed soldiers at every street corner.
The cost is unacceptable.
I will prob pass, as I don't pretend to know stuff. Never been on the board of a govt agency
@shavixmir saidyou are the one that brought mothers and sisters in...you fukin pervert
Are you suggesting you want to have sex with my dead mother?
Or with my sister? Her husband is special forces, I’m sure she and he will be appreciative of your comments.
Fvcking moron.
@MickeyD saidIt's kind of common sense though. For another example, you can eliminate injury from traffic accidents by lowering the speed limit everywhere to 5 mph and strictly enforcing it. But of course you also see the downside there.

@wildgrass saidYeah, no credit for Trump. SHouse will be proud of you.

Hmmm why is Wall Street unfazed by the government shut down in pending tonight?
Do you fellers even know what is going on?
Do you know that the Dems today are celebrating their movement for healthcare for illlegals , transgender surgery, and they want to cut $50 billion from rural healthcare. Imagine a little lady who lives poorly in the mountains, who has not had her shot at wealth, she is pregnant, needs healthcare , and the Democrat party is going to strip that from her to give it to the illegals.
And do you know Trump is playing hardball with pharma today, he announced a drug pricing deal with Pfizer. Phizer will sell some of its drugs on a direct-to-consumer website, such as that. Trump is always thinking, he is always working. Imagine for a second that Kamala or Biden would even venture something like this..
Sonhouse? Hate the felon as he cuts pharma. You people just do not know anything.
@Mott-The-Hoople saidBut how much money did that work add to the bottom line of the agricultural and health and service industry sectors. By comparison the money that might have gone back to Mexico, surely would have been a small fraction of the money their labor generated for the businesses that employed them?
most of the money illegals were paid left our economy and went to mexico
@AverageJoe1 saidYou don't even know why you disagree.
Didn't notice, they all report the same thing. In any event, see the list, you can hardly disagree with all the reasons. DEI is sickening, and so forth. Unacceptable med procedures. creepy. Woke? Are you a Woke? Is Woke a noun?
Trump said so, is about the closest you can get.
@Mott-The-Hoople saidDumbass.
you are the one that brought mothers and sisters in...you fukin pervert
@AverageJoe1 saidMaybe you could just stop lying.
No, i dont' think it is being looked at again, but it could be. Maybe Mamdani will start it in NYC, everyone give everyone else $1000. We repubs fun on the forum with thinking like yours. Keep it coming. Next you will say somehting like paying off tuition loans, then car loans, then credit card balances, you little socialist you.
@kmax87 saidI love the way libs talk in 'small fractions' about money.....just today, I 'd mentioned we need to not send our tax money to PBS. Response was, that money is just a drop in a bucket. Drops in a bucket starting in the morning can end up a full bucket by sundown! "A billion here , a billion there, adds up to a lot of money" (Everett Dirkson, senator).

Here we have Kmax pontificating in that vein about Mexican money. It is no big Deal!!!!! Jesus.
@AverageJoe1 saidThanks for avoiding the question. Fractions are important. It puts into context the fear mongering and anxiety placed on those whose labour actually helps the economy power along.

If illegals provide 10 to 100 times the cost of their labour in profits to their employer, you dont see them as being valuable to your economy?
You don't see tariffs and reducing the size of the undocumented worker population as reducing the total size of the economy?
@kmax87 saidI must be mired in the mistake of thinking everyone illegally here should be deported. You are saying that it is OK for unvetted people to wander amongst our citizens. Creepy stuff.

@AverageJoe1 saidBut you choose to obfuscate and raise irrelevant side issues that have nothing to do with the question, because of your Stephen Miller induced fear of replacement boogie men. You are creepy in your inability to respond with a logical answer. Instead you hang on to your MAGA tropes hoping that people will fall for your mirrors and plastic jewelry.

@kmax87 saidYou ask for a logical answer. PLEASE ask me the question, I have missed it. I answer all questions. Can you imagine me answering a question like Wilkdgrass and Sonhouse do??

And Maga and Stephen Miller are not part of any question that I have seen. If your question is about tariffs, I and many many economists see the long range picture of balanced trade, for lack of a better phrase. So, yes, I do see a benefit in the tariffs. You could google the pros and cons, no need to ask me. I like tariffs. You might take the other side.
@AverageJoe1 saidThe question was clearly asked. Playing dumb about it shows you have no answer and your only strategy is to deflect.
