1. Who started it? Techinically, the British. But the Puritans (Pilgrims) settled, and their culture engraved into our society. Slowly, colonists recognized an American identity. Then, as GB (Britain) imposed taxes, the nationalism grew. ....

2. The point? I don't know. The same as your country? To live? It's a country not for democracy, as is commonly per ...[text shortened]... t do you mean, serve us justice? What is the worst thing we have done lately to warrant this?
All I'm saying is that you're in a spinning wheel. The US gets involved in the
middle east, whether intentionally or not causes great misery for a lot of
people. Those people want revenge and justice, and supposedly strikes back
at the US, killing lots of Americans, so the Americans wants to get back at
them and so on and so forth. I'll ask the question again: What's the point?
Who's the bigger baby? Who's gonna step back, think about it a little and
put reasoning back into your everyday lives?

Ok, that's three questions, two of which are new, but still.

Robber = terrorists
You = USA

What if a robber came to your house one day and took all your money? Would you want to fight back or keep him away?

He sees you don't seem to retaliate in self defense. So next day he comes and kills your wife and takes your kids. Would you fight back - take measures to assure it stops!?

If not, he could keep coming. That's what the USA won't stand for.

Yes, I guess we need to separate "celebrate" and "remembered".

I don't see the use in dissing compassion and rememberance over tragedies, American or otherwise. When I woke up today I simply spent my morning drive thinking about 9/11 and the people who suffered on that day and since. There are other days I might think of other tragedies, none of them more important than the other. Having said that, I'm pretty sure I've "moved on."

But in this case, you are partially responsible for the robber being a robber in
the first place. Or would you rather not accept that? Because if you think of it
that way, I can see the wheel spinning forever and ever. And again, what's
the point there?

You don't seem to get that your simplicity of reasoning will ultimately get you nowhere, as your believes are the exact same as those of the terrorists.

Aaah, but you need to understand - The USA is a pure, white knight on a sanctimonious high-horse, with the sword of self-righteousness and the holy bible for a shield, fighting the fight against the dark terror in the East.

I'm not looking and i'm not listening. Ten years and you Brits are still crying crocodile tears over that anorexic puddle of diarrhea. I just don't understand why you people can't get over it, and you insist that the rest of the world should remember her also. GET OVER IT!
