I'll explain the text: The image itself is a return in a photoshop "battle" I'm participating in over at another site, its part smack talk part theme continuation.
Good luck! I know how taxing those competitions can be, I used to do them over on the iStock forums.

Absolutely brilliant. You're excellent! I hope to see much more of your work
in the future.

(Being in the forum we're in, I feel I should say I'm not being sarcastic.
I absolutely love it.)

Gray in a sea of red. Works perfectly for my eyes.

Perhaps Natsia wasn't after constructive critisim.

She did say finished so perhaps I ought not have said that. Also if this is a hobby then there couldn't have been anything #to# change.

Once again- I retract my post.

Very nice, Natsia...
Reminded me of some of Roger Dean's work.
Keep it up! πŸ™‚

You make it sound as if I were only after praise.

Allow me then to thank you for your comment and offer you an explanation as to why the "wing" appears as it does.
This image is a vector. The wing and the florettes are vectors, the style is stylized and simplified , I've gone against some of my more simple vector styles, and added a lot more detail to the woman who is the focus of the image.
Initially I was going to create a full out, detailed illustration of the wings, but liked the simplicity of the flat guide sketch I did.
I felt it lent more emphasis to the apathy figure herself while maintaining an element of motion, and allowed me to experiment and fill the back ground of the image with repeat vectors, which again (I hope) added a sense of motion.

Apparently that's not what I brought across, based on your criticisms.

Thankyou for teaching me a new word.

The wings work as 2d. My constructive critisim was that it looks unattached, as if it were a metaphor. You said yourself that you intended to make them 3d. But we all know the best designs are the ones that evolve as they are created.

It dose give motion to repeat the wings in the red hues I agree.

When I ask for constructive critisim on my designs I don't take the reply personally and I hope that you didn't either.

Not at all,
I actually received a very good crit from someone I think of as my mentor, a lot of which I agree with. I appreciate criticism from those who know what they're talking about.

Thank you for your two cents.
